"That's an adorable name, is he fully grown?" Calum questioned.

"Um, yeah. He's a couple years old now." I answered, standing up. "Sorry, I just love German Shepard's, they're one of my favourite types of dogs."

"Don't apologise," He laughed. "I literally just did the exact thing with your dog. Watcha listening to?" Only then did I realise that I still had my earphone in and took it out. You could says that I got a little distracted.

"Obviously Justin Beiber! God I would never listen to anything else! Beliebers all the way!" I joked like my inner crazed fan girl.

"Oh... Um... Cool?" Calum responded.

"I'm kidding. It's Guns N' Roses." I told him.

"Really?" He checked with a smile on his face.

"Really." I confirmed with a slight giggle.

"What song?" Calum asked inquisitively.

"Um," I began as I checked my iPod. "Estranged."

"I love that song!" Calum responded. Normally I'd get excited that I found someone with the same music taste as me, but I kind of already knew that 5SOS were into rock.

"Cool! So you like rock?" I asked, pretending like I didn't already know the answer.

"Yes! I take it you do too?" He answered.

"Definitely! It's so hard to find someone with the same music tastes as me!" I told him excitedly.

"I know right!" Calum agreed with equal amounts of excitement.

"I'm Scarlet by the way." I introduced.

"It's nice to meet you Scarlet, I'm Calum." He said politely.

"So do you live around here Calum?" I questioned curiously.

"Um, yeah, I live up on Oxford Street." It was then that I realised, I've been living on the same street as one out of four of 5SOS my entire life without even knowing it.

"Are you kidding? I live on Oxford Street! Number 78!" I informed him enthusiastically.

"Seriously? I'm number 24! That's so cool! Wanna walk back together?" Calum offered.

"Sure!" I agreed quickly before we went into an short awkward silence.

"So um... What year are you in?" He questioned, sounding genuinely interested. Shit, um, I'm in Year 10 right? Yes I am. I think... Whatever I'll just go with it.

"Year 10, and you?" I replied.

"Same! What school?" Calum answered enthusiastically.

"St Mary's." I informed him, abbreviating the name. My school, St Paul's, and Norwest were the only three Christian high schools in the general area of Riverstone, everyone knew what school I would be talking about without me having to go all fancy with the full name.

"Oh, the all girls school?" Calum checked.

"That's the one. It kinda sucks there because I usually get along better with guys than I do girls." I complained.

"Damn." He sympathised

"Yeah... Damn. So what school are you at?" I agreed

"Um, Norwest, so literally right across the road from you." Calum told me, oblivious to the fact that I already new this.
