The base camp was beyond the forest and the trek wasn't to terrible, In fact the whole trip was less than 5 hours of just following trails and rivers to the exits. One fact remained: Throughout this venture the feeling of eyes on the back of our two characters existed and it was particularly worrying when a actual sound was heard. Most of those suspicions were laid to rest as mentioned when they entered the base camp. It wasn't too shabby...In fact it had pretty good looking fortifications and alot of men teeming around the arming stations and lookout towers.
The man entered the base with the boy and a couple soldiers ran up saying hi, they seemed to know this very admirable man and even said hi to the boy who replied with a look of interest. "So Hakubi this boy yours? whered you find him?" Hakubi shook his head and simply frowned, the soldier talking immediately knew the answer "You couldnt mean the city that faced the horde could you?" Hakubi smiled and replied "Yes but luckily we got this one out, he's pretty tough ya'know? had those creatures on the run!" The soliders laughed and so did the boy in unison but it was cut short as one of the officers made a clearing and ordered any new arrivals to be processed, that was met with a glance from hakubi to the child and in a movement they walked over to the scribe. Within 5 minutes he was registered and even received a name due to him not recalling his. Nirva.
"So its nirva huh? thats a good name! Strong like you." The child smiled and the soldier gave him a pat on the head, Walking around they settled at what looked to be hakubi's tent. "Welcome nirva to my humble abode, please feel comfy eh?" A pot fell down in response "Well maybe not so stable heh" Another cheesy joke and the boy was laughing, The day went by rather quickly and nirva seemed to be enjoying himself and before he knew it it was night time. So he simply retraced his steps and sat down infront of hakubi's tent....hakubi was inside but there was something in his hands.... fire?! He knew this power was possible but see'ing it for the first time was remarkable. Hakubi saw him and slowly waved his hand. "So nirva, care to learn a few tricks? I have no idea how effective this will be but its bound to entertain you." In response nirva entered the tent and sat down watching hakubi juggle fire in his hands. He fell asleep to the smell of charcoal and the sound of laughter. One thing did come into his dreams though....a voice....his mothers? it was saying something....it was legible and sounded like "your power my loving son.....its the forest...never forget......the forest" the dream wasn't particularly painful....but he found himself chasing it throughout the night.
