"Mom Shelby is coming in 5 minutes, she just texted me. By the way how did you get her number?"
"Melissa I have my ways..."

"Melissa it's Shelby!"
"I know mom!"
"Um.....hi I'm Shelby you must be Melissa! You are new here right? Can I come in?"
"Sure...um well let's go upstairs to my room...............come this way."
"Are you nervous because it's ok. I won't bite! Lol"
"Haha... Lol anyway I bought this for you Shelby... It's a necklace...it's says best friends forever!"
"Wow Melissa it's beautiful! Can I call you Mel for a nickname? You can call me Shel..."
"That's great Shel!"
"Thanks Mel!"

"Mel I have to go home I have some science homework to get done! Bye! See you tomorrow at school! What class do you have first? I have math than French."

Shelby leaves Melissa's house
"Mom, Shelby is really nice! She likes the necklace I bought her too!"
"See? Was I right about inviting her over or what? Well if you need me I will be downstairs doing the laundry that YOU were supposed to do today....."
"Ok fine mom, you were right. I'm gonna go watch some TV."
Wow moms could sometimes be helpful and sometimes not so much. But hopefully next time I see Shelby she does not embarrass me! I made a new friend, new friend!!!!!😃 I am so perky sometimes!
