Waking up to a perfect view of the beautiful sky on a Sunday morning. I drag myself to the bathroom after enjoying the scenery for a good solid minute. Looking at my reflection from the mirror, checking the bruise from yesterday. I let out a sigh of relief, it looks better now. I turn on the shower and let the steaming hot droplets of water fall on to my skin.
Walking down the stairs, i could hear my brother shouting into his microphone. Oh great, he's having another bad game. Hoping he wouldn't notice me and just continue playing his computer game, i slowly walk towards the water dispenser and get myself a glass of water.
Wait a minute... my brother isn't shouting anymore and the clicking from his mouse stopped...
I slowly turn around
He's right infront of me...fuck
"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" He says as he pushes me to the floor.
CRASHHH
The glass cup shatters into pieces on the floor, scattered everywhere while the water escapes from it and spreads out, creating a small puddle.
"Clean that up you dumbfuck!" He commands me with an evil looking grin on his face.
"What happened?" My mother asks as soon as she walks down the stairs with my father right behind her.
"What did you do this time, Josh?" My father says while staring at the mess beside me.
"Yeah, Josh." My brother says right after, knowing that our parents will always accuse me and never him.
"I'll clean this..." i tell them as i start picking up the bits of glass, one by one. I'm used to this and i knew that there was no use trying to tell them that it wasn't my fault. They will always believe Kyle instead of me and let Kyle do anything, even if he was beating me, they would still let him. I am Joshua Garner and this is my life at home.
I know.
It sucks.
