Turns out, I had my phone in my pocket ever since I arrived in Ikebukuro. I had received it shortly after Masaomi and Mikado left the hospital. It's been a few days by now, and they visited me everyday like they promised. They remind me a lot of my friends back at home. They're funny, sometimes shy, adorable, too. I really miss them...
One of the nurses had bought me a new pair of clothes because the blood wouldn't come out. It was a pair of dark red, knee-length shorts and a plain black short-sleeved shirt. She had also bought me a new pair of sneakers. They were red and white, but I didn't know the brand; I'm not too crazy about shoes, unlike the boys at my middle school. Yeah, I blew it, didn't I? Well, I'm a fourteen year old going into eighth grade. I would be in high school by now, but I sucked at reading when I was in elementary. So now, I like to read, mainly anime stories. For example, fanfictions, manga, and funny comic strips.
I sat quietly in the lobby, waiting for Masaomi and Mikado. It was around noon on a Friday, and a drink seemed really refreshing right about now. I saved Masaomi's number on my phone, just in case I needed to call him again. I scrolled through all of my pictures, realizing most of my Durarara!! pictures were deleted. I sighed, but brushed it off; at least I still had Brave Frontier and Netflix!
I shut down my phone and put it in my pocket. As I looked at everyone else in the waiting room, I noticed some people - mostly older men and elders - kept on staring at me. I blushed and began to speed-walk out of the hospital; this was Water Country all over again. "Have a nice day, Miss!" a nurse called.
"You too!"
I sighed and sat down on a bench. I watched as kids and their parents walked by. A small smile appeared on my face. I wonder if my family suddenly came here like I did? Maybe my sisters or brother? Everything went black as I felt a pressure over my eyes and on my shoulders. "Guess who!"
"Masaomi," I laughed. "You nearly scared the crap outta me."
"Sorry." He and Mikado walked in front of me. "New outfit, I see. Nice."
"Thanks. One of the nurses got it for me."
"Shall we get going now, my lady?" Masaomi gave me a grin and extended his arm out to me.
How kawaii~ "We shall." I linked my arm with his and we made our way down the street.

Me, Masaomi, and Mikado went to a restaurant, got a quick bite to eat, and left, each of us with a soda in our hands. I got Pepsi, Masaomi got Root Beer, and there was Diet Coke for Mikado. I enjoyed my time with them, but I was very self-conscious. The doctor suggested to wear a bandage for a little while longer until my wound healed, and the nurse taking care of me did her best to hide it under my hair so I wouldn't have to worry about getting too much awareness of it. Though, it was still a bit visible. I decided to push it aside and enjoy the time I got, at least for Masaomi and Mikado. They seemed to enjoy my company a lot, too.
"You want sushi?" I heard a man ask loudly. "It good! It cheap! You eat, you like!" We turned to the next block, passing by Russia Sushi. "Hello, Kida!" One of the owners, Simon, said, holding a bunch of fliers in his hands. "How's it going? You want sushi?"
"No, thanks. Me and my friends just ate. Maybe some other time?"
Simon nodded and turned his attention to me. "Why, hello, Miss! You friend of Kida's?"
"Uh, y-yes, I am," I said with a nod.
"This is my good lady, Evelyn! I met her a few days ago," Masaomi introduced. He faced me and gestured towards the Russian. "This big guy is Simon. He's from Russia, and is one of the guys who works here."
"Nice to meet you," Simon said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you, too."
"We should get going." Masaomi looked at my eyes. "You look tired." He turned over to Simon. "See ya."
As we walked away, Simon said, "Come by soon!"

On the way to Masaomi's place, we parted ways with Mikado and he headed home as well. "So, how're you liking your time in Ikebukuro?" Masaomi asked. "Aside from the kidnapping."
"It's great! I've never had so much fun in the several hours we had. And you and Mikado were so sweet to me when we first met. I have to thank you for that; no one else was willing to help me. Really, I am grateful."
"No need to thank me." Masaomi was acting a bit bashful with the pink cheeks. "I saw a pretty girl in need on help, so I took action."
Before I could respond, a gust of wind shot passed us, followed by a lot of banging. I looked in the direction it went and saw a convenient store trash can. Off to the side, just avoiding the throw, was Izaya. "Iza-"
"I~~za~~~ya~" I heard a deep voice growl ominously. "Didn't I tell you never to come back to Ikebukuro again?" I turned to see Shizuo Heiwajima standing a few yards away with his blue shades hooked to the vest of his bartender attire. Izaya looked over to him, then to me.
"Why, Evelyn! We meet again, I see! I didn't think you'd make it out of the hospital so soon~"
"Don't ignore me, you damn flea!"
Izaya smirked as he waved. "Gotta run." He ran off. "See ya!"
"Get back here, Izaya!" Shizuo chased after him.
When all was quiet, I spoke, rubbing the back of my neck. "Is it just me, or is Izaya creepy...?"
"Maybe it'sjust you, maybe him, maybe both, even." By the tone of his voice, I got the impression Masaomi was trying to crack a joke, or at least lead to one.
"Yeah, yeah, Masaomi, very funny. Now, let's hurry home before we bump into them again." Masaomi nodded in agreement with a slight chuckle and we made our way down the streets.
