As a child Eric knew he was different. His family never stayed in one place for too long. He was not allowed to make any friends or invite anyone over the house. Though he always believed that soon that they would move and stay in that one place forever. At the age of 7 he watched as his mother and sister were dragged out of their house and loaded on to a truck along with other women form their neighborhood. His father and uncle just watched as this horrible scene took place, neither made a single sound.

Crying he spoke "How! How can you just watch as they take mommy away? Don't you love her?"

"Be quiet and watch this will be your job soon." his father replied as they watched the truck pull away.

I can’t believe that this is my life. Always moving, running because of my dad.

“Come here Eric I want you to see something”

“What is it the data for your new shipload”

“Damnit Eric will you once just bring your ass in here”

“Fine (your just goanna bug me again in 5 minutes.)”

“Boy i'd like you to meet Mr. John Walters”

“And he is….?”

“John is one of our best customers and a family friend”

“Oh joy!”

“Stop being such a smart ass”

“Ok, so Mr. Walters what do you do with the women that you buy from my dad”

“That boy is none of your business”

“Well sorry. I just asked a damn question no need to get pissy”

My father decided to jump back into the conversation,

“Eric ju… just go do something with yourself.”

“Wow 5 minutes, that’s a new record dad.”

“What are you blabbering about now?”

“A new record dad you have now officially spent 5 minutes with me”

“Do you always have to be a pain?”

To that I just walked away, (I get it from my father). I retreated to my room and blasted my radio thinking about what he had planned for us to do tonight.  I guess that this will be our last day in this town. Well let’s check the maps where to next. As I studied his so called moving plans I saw that our next location wasn’t even a town. It was some little clearing in the forest. So it’s time to lie low, but why in the middle of nowhere. Knowing him there was always a reason for doing something. I wish Carlos was still here I could probably go stay with him like I did when I was little. Regretting the thought I quickly drove any thought of my brother from my mind.

One of my dad’s minions came into the room

“Kid pack your bag were getting an earlier start tonight because of the long trip tomorrow as you can see” he pointed to the maps.
