C H A P T E R_16

[ Bathroom, Underground | 9:23 PM ]

You and Sans were listening to Mettaton's voice trough the bathroom door, to hear if Asgore had gone already.

"Heh. Well at least our hot and sweaty bodies are pressing together a part of the night." Sans said grinning.

You poked him but got interrupted by a voice from the other side.

"One big last applause for your majesty, king Asgore!" Mettaton said and the audience went wild again.

"That's our cue." You said and opened the door, to bump in an ufo shaped monster with tree thick spikes on its head and swollen lips.

"Have you seen snowdrake? I think he ditched me." The monster said in an arrogant tone.

"No sorry I haven't." You responded politely and drew sans with you.

"Ugh."

You walked into the crowd, hoping not to be recognized by anyone. Asgore would know you were out here, and maybe there were some thug monsters who could lead you out of the crowd and kill you. Maybe this thought would be way too deep, since no monster had been cruel to you except for Flowey.

Your thoughts were shaken away by a loud, robotic voice. "And remember, beauties and gentlebeauties, in half an hour there will be chosen people by spotlight to karaoke! The people will be chosen completely random, and if you will be willing to karaoke, you may also dance in one of my new clips!" The crowd went wild again. "Now then, grab your partner because it's finally time to dance!" Mettatons loud voice said.

"It's like prom all over again." You said under your breath.

A hand grabbed your shoulder. "Wanna dance?" Sans said, turning you around and putting his hands on your waist.

"I promised you. And I hardly go back on my promises." You said, putting your hands on his shoulders.

You were slowly moving on the beat, staring in each others eyes.

"You're good at this." You said.

"You too." Sans said and pressed his teeth against your lips. You kissed back and the song ended. "Do you want anything to drink?"

"Uh yeah sure."

"Okay stay here I'll go and get some." Sans said and walked to the bar, where Grillby was serving drinks.

"Seems like you are having fun, hee hee~" The corrupted voice in your mind said.

"You will not ruin this night." You said through your teeth so no one could hear you.

"Oh I won't. But eventually you will."

"The fuck?" You swore.

"Something wrong?" Sans said behind you, causing you to jump. "Got them" He smiled and gave a cup to you. The liquid smelled like alcohol.

"Seriously? We're having alcohol again?" You laughed.

"Huh? What's wrong with alcohol?"

"Well the last time we had alcohol, you told the story how you got your pet rock."

"I don't remember any of that actually." Sans said dumbfounded.

"Oh and you were all like 'Oh I like it when you touch it right there~" You grinned. "But I guess this is worth a shot."

"Who touches who~?" Mettaton interrupted.

"Hey, if you need me for anything, I'm with Grillbs." Sans said and walked into the crowd, avoiding Mettaton.

"So darling, I was wondering if you would join me in karaoke?"

"Ehr..."

"It will be fun! And you could just become the most popular human in the underground!"

"Ya.. I don't really care about that. And besides, I'm pretty sure I already am."

"I guess there is just no other way." Mettaton said dramatically. "I will have to shine on you with my glorious spotlights in order for you to sing!" He said and posed dramatically. A few monsters cheered. Mettaton eventually walked away.

"BESTIE (Y/N)! OVER HERE!" Papyrus' voice shouted.

You saw Papyrus, Undyne and Alphys all cheering and dancing. You decided to walk to the group and join them.

"HYA PUNK! THIS PARTY IS DA BOMB!" Undyne shouted drunkenly.

"S-she i-is drunk."

You laughed. "Believe it or not, but I kind of expected that to happen."

"That always h-happens on t-these kind o-of parties."

"So did you bone that skeleton yet?" Undyne said giggling.

"N-no but-"

"You know that's always an option right?" Sans' voice behind you said, causing you to jump again. He laughs.

"Quit creeping up on me ya bonehead."

"What? Did I make you jump out of your skin?" He grinned, earning a few groans from the others.

"Don't mind Sans' jokes. He's a heartless comedian." You snickered.

"That's nonesans. I've got a soul in the form of a heart." He responded.

"Touche."

"And now! It's time for the spotlight round! Whoever gets shone on by this glamorous spotlight will have to do karaoke and may dance in my next clip!" Mettaton announced.

The room went dark, only one spotlight lit the room. You ducked, causing the spotlight to fall on Sans.

"It seems like we have a winner! Introduce yourself."

A microphone was given to Sans. He groaned. "Well uh.. Hya I'm Sans. I'm not really good at singing, so I guess I'll just tell some hilarious jokes."

"SING!" Undyne and Papryus shouted. The rest of the monsters joined in too eventually. Everyone was cheering for Sans to sing.

"Uh.. Well okay then. This one goes out to my girlfriend (Y/N)." He said smiling at you.

"The sun goes down, the stars come out." He started. His singing voice was magnificent.

"And all that counts, is here and now." Sans sung, staring in your eyes.

"My universe, will never be the same."

You were blushing and smiling.

"I'm glad you came."

"That was amazing!" You cheered as the audience went wild again.

"Nah it was nothing." Sans casually said and shook it off.

"Yes it wa-" You said and began coughing really bad and didn't get any air. "I-I'll be in the bathroom for a drink wait for me here." You hardly could bring out and to the bathroom to drink.

After drinking water, you felt a lot better. You opened the bathroom door and started walking to the spot where Sans was supposed to wait. Suddenly a monster bumped into you, causing you to fall and tap your arm.

Everything froze.

Every monster froze.

Everything had stopped moving.

You had frozen time.
