HER LITTLE BROTHER WAS MORE CAPABLE IN HANDLING THAT FACT THEN THEIR MOM AND JACKIE KNEW THIS. ANYMORE QUESTIONS? I'LL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM IN MY AUTHOR'S NOTES.
Jak, Daxter and myself went back home on my urging. Let Keira and Phoenix be heros of the year. It's not like it was something that could save the planet anyways. We dropped off Daxter with Tess and told her the news of my bun in the oven and Daxter's new temperament. It wasn't all that bad since Daxter was pretty much laid back. Tess was of course happy for me.
While we were at it we went to the Fuzzy corner and told Brutter. He decided that he would be coming to Spargus with us to take care of me. Apparently pregnant Lurker women are a handful to deal with. Usually all the males in her and the husband's family would take up taking care of her. I explained that humans worked differently but he wouldn't hear of it.
Pluto, Russell, and Caine tried to get me to take them but thankfully I used the excuse there was no room for them. They wanted to follow me in a Lurker balloon but I refused. On the way Brutter noticed my old school bag and looked through it. He started asking questions that I didn't want to answer so Jak decided to do it for me. Afterwards Brutter was quiet the entire ride back to Spargus.
Once home again we went straight to Damas. He wasn't very happy with how long we had been gone but he couldn't complain. We had told he we didn't know when we would be back and he agreed that it would be fine. It was a bittersweet feeling being back in Spargus.
"Ah, my run away children have returned. Hope it was worth it because you two aren't allowed to leave Spargus for an entire month!" Damas said once he caught sight of us.
"DAD! You were okay with us being gone! We asked you and gave you no time limit." I yelled.
"Almost two months is not excusable!"
"It was out of our control! We were stranded for a little over a month!" Jak told him.
"It's true! They teleports to Jackie's old word. Crash into ground and had to work to get the parts needed to fix ships! They left the second they coulds despites poor Jackie's heart!" Brutter came to our aid quickly.
"You, returned to your world? How was that possible?"
"It's the Brink...it's mysterious even to the Precursors themselves." I shrugged sourly trying not to open up a fresh wound.
"Well, I hope you had fun." Damas said.
"I did have fun." I said then let the water works rip. I turned away to run off but Brutter caught me.
"We found her little brother and stayed in her old house. She got to finally say goodbye and put her brother's mind at peace. But they were really close, so saying goodbye for good was hard." Jak said.
"Oh, so it was a bittersweet thing then."
"Yeah....At least I got closure finally I guess. Oh and Damas, going back to my world was a blessing in disguise. Jak over there finally hit his target and got me knocked up." I said playfully glaring at Jak from over my shoulder.
"Hey! I know for a fact that I have never missed. You're just a bad catcher." He justified.
"Oh my god do you even know what that means in my world!" I laughed.
"You're with child! Finally! About time you two get started on bringing in the next generation! You know what this means?" Damas said smiling ear to ear.
"Lot of pain for the coming nine months?" I asked pulling away from Brutter.
"Well, for you yes but it means I can retire!" Damas said. "It's about time you two step up as King and Queen at last! You both have proven more than worthy and capable of doing so."
"Are you shitting me?" I looked to Jak who just shrugged. "Fine! Well become to rulers of this city but there are no take backs! If I run this place to the ground you'll just have to deal with it!" I warned.
"I have confidence that you won't run this place into the...." Damas began then paused. I could almost see the memories of our past arguments flutter across his eyes. "I will step in when necessary." He finally said.
"Hahaha! Oh Damas, what damage can I actually do now? The city has changed, the world has changed! It'll all be good and I won't do anything that would harm the city." I told him rolling my eyes.
"I'm sure you will. Well, go relax from your journey. I'll be announcing your official titles tomorrow evening." Damas said.
"You don't have to tell me twice. Brutter you can go find a guest room to stay in for however long you plan on staying." I told him.
"I stay till after baby is borns! Maybe more's!" Brutter told me walking off almost knowing the palace like the back of his hands, since he was always coming over to do check ins. Me and Jak went to our little apartment. Once there I unloaded my bag and placed my treasured items in my dresser.
"I don't know about you but I've missed our bed." Jak said laying down on it.
"Yeah, I missed this bed." I agreed laying down with him closing my eyes. I smiled when I felt a warm slightly calloused hand worm its way under my shirt on my lower stomach. "Touch it all you want! It's not going to kick you yet." I told him voice laced with humor.
"I know, but when it does finally kick I plan to be ready!" Jak said. It had became a ritual of his to keep a hand on my stomach while we slept. Sometimes he would be walking behind me and just keep his hand there. It was sweet but got annoying real fast.
"I'm gonna kick you my damn self." I grumbled rolling myself to my side.
"You've already done that before." He said taking his turn to grumble. I started laughing at him in remembering that one time he woke me up cause I kicked him in the balls. I had thought he was having a heart attack in my half awake stupor. Long story short I was laughing harder then I was now. "Yeah yeah, you'll get yours in like nine months." He huffed.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to only sort of crush your hand during the labor." I mumbled sweetly.
"I'm not going to win this one, am I?" Jak asked.
"Nope!" I smiled.
