So this has been a bit of a long time coming, it's a shorty, but a cutie! I apologize, I haven't slept.

Enjoy,

“Do you see her yet? I can’t see her. This is supposed to be her gate right? What if something happened to her plane? What if we got the time wrong? What- watch where you’re going kid.” Panda hadn’t stopped talking in the past 10 minutes they had been sitting in front the “arrivals” gate, and was getting testy, hissing at some kid with his Spiderman roller luggage.

“It really sucks that everyone couldn’t be here right now. What if she’s back already and we missed her and someone tried to-”

“Panda! I have checked the e-mail I received about seventy times, and you know Summer has work, Elyse is traveling on promo, Vic was held up in family things- oh look, I’m pretty sure those are her parents over ther-” The minute Panda caught sight of the woman they had been waiting for to walk off the plane and hug her parents with a smile, she was gone.

“Paaaaaaaaaaige!”

“Panda! Would you just-” but it was too late. Panda had already abandoned her large sign and was in the process of sprinting over and knocking her friend off her feet, Paige laughing too hard from her spot on the floor to really mind that much.

----

“-and since you’re back, we’ll have to go out tonight and-”

“Tonight?!” Ara interrupted her rambunctious friend who hadn’t unhooked herself from Paige’s elbow since she had bodily tackled her at the arrivals gate. “Panda, she’s just gotten back from being away for a year and a half, she needs some time-”

“But Araaaaaa-!” Paige interrupted their whining and arguing with her loud laughter, tugging them both into a hug,

“Goodness I have missed you guys!” She gave them a good squeeze before hanging her arms over their shoulders, “Ara is kind of right-” Panda gave out a bit of a whine, “-but I have missed you all horribly so, how does this weekend sound?”

This compromise still garnered a pout from Panda, while Ara flipped out her little calendar.

“Well, Elyse is still gone for promo for a few more weeks-”

“I can’t wait that long.” Panda was adamant, and Ara continued on almost like she hadn’t heard her.

“-I have a short day on Friday, and don’t start ‘til late afternoon on Saturday, But I’m off Sunday.”

“I don’t go out on Sundays.” Paige reminded in a sing-song voice as Ara nodded and continued to look at her little planner.

“Right. Plus, if we get together Friday night, Summer is off this weekend, and Vic should be able to-”

“SOLD! Friday night it is!” At the mention of their friend Victoria being able to join their little party, Panda was rearing to go. “Now-” she scooped up one of Paige’s bags, “-let’s get you settled back in, so you can tell us all about everything, and...God I’ve missed you!”

Paige just laughed and collected Ara and the rest of her bags before heading out of the airport.

----

“Paige…” None of her friends seemed sure on how to break it to her,

“Sugah, what on God’s green earth are you wearing on your feet?”

Except for Panda that is. She had no qualms about calling her rather conservative friend out on her less-than appealing shoes.

“Please, someone tell me those aren’t clogs.”
