-No ones point of view-
Soundwave sat on his berth with Frostbite in his arms. He was holding her protectively, he was scared because he knew what happens to sparklings with her kind of depression. A small rawer was heard on the other side of the room fallowed by a black and yellow metal cat. Ravage walked up to Soundwave slowly and quietly making sure not to wake Frostbite. Soundwave watched was Ravage jumped up and laid next to him putting his helm underneath his servos that was holding the slightly shaking sparkling. Sighing mentally Soundwave jumped a little seeing Frostbites optics open, she looked up at her father with tired, weak yet happy optics. Her servos were tucked between her chassis and his, a small smile showed on her face as she leaned into him.
"Daddy....can I see your face. Please..." Frostbite asked softly. She was scared he would get mad at her for asking but she hadn't seen him since the day of her mothers death. Soundwave looked down at her for a second, she still had her face to his chassis. He felt the fear and sadness in the bond so he picked her up underneath her arms and set her on the berth. Frostbite looked up at him curiously, Soundwave deployed Laserbeak and the metal bird flew over to Ravage sitting on the cats head. Frostbite giggled and put a servo close to her mouth. Soundwave watched the three then picked Frostbite back up and sat her on his lap facing the metal bird and cat. Frostbite reached out grabbing for Ravage and the cat jumped up moving closer to her. Ravage put his helm in Frostbite's lap while Laserbeak flew up sitting on Soundwave's shoulder.
"Kitty!" Frostbite said happily petting Ravages helm and in return the cat purred making Frostbite giggle more. Soundwave's mask retracted showing scars on his face but what was shocking was that he was smiling.
"Ravage, Sweetspark." He said leaning down pulling Frostbite closer. Ravage fallowed.
"Ravage?" Frostbite repeated petting the metal cats helm with both of her servos. Laserbeak flew down and sat on Ravage's helm again. Frostbite stopped petting Ravage with one servo making the cat wiggle closer. Frostbite touched the bird on the helm before giggling and bringing the metal bird into a hug. Soundwave watched the three and chuckled at his daughters actions.
"Laserbeak." He said simply. Frostbite nodded her helm in understanding and looked up at him. She made an adorable face and smiled warmly sending love through the bond.
"I wove you!!" She shouted with Laserbeak still in her grasp. Ravage mewed and moved closer to Frostbite almost laying on her. Soundwave panicked slightly before relaxing hearing his daughters laughter. Ravage started pawing at Laserbeak, the metal bird wiggled out of the sparklings servos and hit Ravage in the helm flying off. Ravage growled and jumped off the berth chasing after Laserbeak and jumping up trying to grab the bird.
"I like them daddy...." Frostbite said snuggling up in her fathers arms. Soundwave smiled at her and looked to the cat and bird.
"Yes....me too." He said then called the two over. Ravage had Laserbeak in his mouth, the cat looked over quickly hearing Soundwave. The he threw Laserbeak down and ran over to the father and daughter jumping on them. Frostbite was laughing while Ravage licked her face. Laserbeak flew over to Soundwave in a pouting manner but her wings perked up seeing the happy sparkling. Soon they settled down while Soundwave told a story, Ravage laid on Frostbite's small frame while Laserbeak was curled in the cats tail between Frostbite's peds.
"Daddy?" Soundwave hummed in response. "Why do Autobots and Decepticons fight?" She asked. Soundwave thought trying to find the right words carful not to make his daughter sad.
"Well Sweetspark....Megatron and I...and many others didn't agree with the High Counsel. We wanted Cybertron to be strong and open to new and young ideas and try them instead of pushing them away like the Counsel did, we wanted all cybertronian to be treated equal." Soundwave said thinking back to the past. "Much death has happened during the war and Megatron has been corrupted by dark energon. It's a miracle your alive." He said hugging her tightly and putting his helm on hers.
"Ohh....so everything is a misunderstanding?" She asked. Soundwave chucked, it was funny how a young sparkling who didn't know much about the war just figured out the main reason it started.
"Yes." He said simply. They sat in silence before Frostbite asked another question.
"Did you miss me?" She asked hopefully. Ravage perked up snuggling closer to Frostbite. Soundwave was taken back by her question.
"Of course I missed you! I dreaded the day I lost you." He said thinking back to the day he found their house unit destroyed and his mate dead with his sparklings gone.
"Do you miss Steelfist and Ironfist?" She asked.
"Yes. I miss them. They are good brothers yes?" He asked. Frostbite shook her head yes fast.
"Yep. The raised me, taught me how to walk and talk with full sentences. They taught me how to resell too!" She said happily. Soundwave smiled knowing his sons would always protect her. From the moment they first saw her, they couldn't get enough of her. Frostbite yawned but kept her optics open. "Uncle Jackie was fun too..." The last part made Soundwave a bit mad but he didn't want Frostbite to be sad so he let it slide.
"You know Sweetspark, everyone on this ship will protect you. Form the lowest ranking vehicon to the grump Starscream even if he won't say it out loud. Ravage will protect you and so will Laserbeak." Soundwave said patting Ravage's helm making the cat purr.
"You are special, every Con on this ship will do anything to keep you safe. Remember that Sweetspark."
"Thanks daddy. I love you." Frostbite said turning over on her side cuddling closer to his spark. Though the bond each sent love and warmth.
"I love you too." Soundwave said falling into recharge with her peacefully.
