Before we had even reached Ahkmenrah's exhibition, I knew something was wrong. I just got a gut feeling that something wasn't right but I couldn't put my finger on what exactly. I grabbed him by the arm forcing him to stop walking abruptly.

"Something isn't right here"
"What do you mean?" He asked, eyes wide and looking alarmed.
I released his arm.
"I don't know what, but something is wrong, I-I just know it." I tried my best to explain.
"Rebecca, you're safe here, if you're worried about the lions again, then don't, I know how to deal with them" he said reassuringly.
I shook my head.
"It's not that. Something just feels out of place, I can't explain it effectively enough" I muttered in an exasperated tone.

As it turned out, I was right. Before either of us could say more we were abruptly plunged into darkness. I let out a small shriek of surprise. It was now pitch black, all the lights were off. I desperately tried to make out my position in the hallway, arms outstretched.
"Rebecca" Ahkmenrah called out.
"I'm here" I said turning in the direction of his voice and walking towards it.
As soon as I felt my fingers brush against his arm I gripped onto him and he pulled me to his chest. We both stayed still for a moment, embracing as a means of feeling more secure in the darkness. Neither of us could see anything.

"Perhaps you were right" he muttered sounding slightly afraid.
"Larry isn't here, what should we do?" I wondered aloud.
I felt his warm breath on my forehead as he looked around desperately.
As my eyes adjusted to the dark slightly I could just about make out the faint light suggesting a window nearby. I pulled Ahk along with me as I blundered forwards toward it. As we rounded the corner and stepped into the faint light of the distant street lamps creeping through the window I heard, among the commotion and confusion of other exhibits, a loud crash. I peered out of the window and saw a black van parked, pulled up right next to the museum itself. The crash had seemed to come from elsewhere but it seemed strange that this vehicle would be parked on the museum property.

"Is that familiar to you Ahk?" I questioned urgently, pointing out of the window.
"No" he answered frowning.
"Oh shit" I exclaimed, this time not able to keep quiet for the sake of being polite. The realisation had suddenly dawned on me.
"What?" He urged.
"The phonelines were dead, the power has been cut off and there's a dodgy looking van out there, plus that big crashing noise... You mentioned a recent bout of attempted thefts!"
It had now clearly dawned on Ahkmenrah as well. We were abruptly bathed in much weaker lighting, probably an emergency secondary power unit.
"Oh no. They must not get their hands on the tablet!" He exclaimed, practically yanking my arm out of my socket by dragging me behind him as he ran towards his exhibit through the half light. The other occupants of the museum were confused, upset and bewildered as we flew past them on out way the Egyptology section.
"Where's gigantor!" Yelled Jed to Octavius across one of the hallways.
"I'm not sure, it's probably just a power cut, we'll be fine" the centurion replied, trying his best to sound reassuring.
"I ain't convinced" yelled the tiny cowboy as he rushed across the hall to join Octavius, whom he embraced tightly.
We also passed the neanderthals who were howling and rushing about, many of the exhibits were doing the same as they tried to regroup. The entire museum was in uproar as a total state of panic descended and the night guard wasn't here to restore order.
