I had the pleasure to meet all kinds of historical figures in person, now I had gotten used to the concept, I was enjoying it greatly. This was so much better than my disastrous date from earlier.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you get trapped in the museum?" Ahkmenrah said whilst we were walking along one of the balcony type areas.
I blushed.
"Well, I was on a date with a guy called Max but he really isn't into history so he was kinda a pain in the ass to be around. He kept whining about everything. It was only the second date we'd been on but I was fairly certain we weren't meant to be... Anyway it was cutting it close to closing time, so I went quickly to use the restroom. Only problem was that the handle broke off and I was stuck in there for nearly two hours. My hands are all battered from me repeatedly beating the door, kicking and shouting for help because I didn't want to be locked in all night."

"I'm not very good with being stuck in tight spaces either... Surely this 'Max' heard your cries for help?" He questioned looking deeply concerned.

"No apparently not, he left me, I called him on his mobile phone and he told me he'd already got a cab and wasn't coming back. I finally managed to climb out and then I ran out into the halls looking for, no pun intended, any signs of life. I hoped someone would let me out... I honestly can't believe he left me here, I didn't think he was like that. I mean okay, I didn't like him but I thought he was better than this at least!"

"Well it sounds to me like you know you are better off without him... What kind of person does that? So I take it that you still want to leave?" He asked stepping a little closer.
"Well, I don't actually have anywhere else I need to be right now." I replied playfully.
We held eye contact for a brief moment but were interrupted by a small remote control car whizzing past with a small string trailing what looked like one of the ribs of the tyrannosaurus rex. I frowned.
Ahkmenrah grinned at my confusion as the rest of the skeleton, or 'Rexy' as I later learned he was called, came crashing down the hallway after the car.
I was frozen in place by my shock once again, unfortunately leading to me being almost crushed. One minute I was staring and gawping and wondering how the bones even held together and the next something hit my torso and sent me flying over the balcony. I let out a yelp of surprise and terror as I fell two floors.

When I didn't hit the ground, I opened my eyes to find that I had been caught. Glancing round to see who had saved me, I was met by the sight of a group of huns. They had me by each of my limbs... oh no. I prayed that they weren't going to behave like history would dictate - I didn't fancy being torn apart. I glanced upwards to see Ahkmenrah and a few other exhibits leaning over the railings and peering down to see if I was alright. Overall, they seemed just as confused by the presence of a new stranger in their museum as I was about them all coming to life.

"Thanks for catching me. I mean you no harm, Please don't rip me apart" I pleaded, unsure if they could understand.
Their leader, whom I knew to be Attila, looked as though he was contemplating what to do with me before saying something in yet another old dialect I was unfamiliar with. Slowly I was lowered to the ground and set on my feet.
"Thank you". I said swaying slightly from the thought of my potentially double brush with death.

"Are you alright?" Came a soft, caring voice to my left.
I turned to see who it belonged to and my gaze fell upon a native american woman with beautiful ebony hair drawn into two long braids.
"I think so" I said wearily, "I'm Rebecca, who are you?"
"I'm Sacagewea" she said smiling.
"It's a pleasure to meet you" I added.
"This is Attila and these are his men" she explained, gesturing to the huns.
Attila held both arms outstretched towards me.
"He wants to hug you, he'll be offended if you don't let him" she grinned.
"Oh, right" I said hugging him back. Before I knew it the hug had grown into a group hug involving all the other huns and it was getting harder to breathe.
"Okay, okay, come on. Let her go now" warned Sacagewea.
They released me and I inhaled deeply.

Soon there was a small crowd of other curious exhibits around us. I felt rather sheepish and embarrassed by all the fuss I seemed to be causing.
Then the remote controlled car rounded the corner and screeched to a stop, but not before hitting my ankle. I stepped backwards involuntarily out of surprise and slight pain, letting out a small "ouch" as I bumped Into Ahkmenrah, who had made his way downstairs and has pushed into the group to rejoin me. I was embarrassed again but he didn't move backwards

"Well lookie here, I think we got ourselves another gigantor" Came a small voice from the car.
"Jed you know that's not polite, okay it's become an affectionate term for Larry but this person is new here... And most likely very confused. She doesn't look like a new exhibit" Someone else replied.
"And this is Jeddediah and Octavius" Sacagewea added.
It was then that I realised there were two tiny figures standing atop the car, the source of these voices, a cowboy and a Roman Centurion.
"Wow" I muttered under my breath.
"Howdy!" Yelled the cowbody.
"Greetings" seconded the Roman centurion next to him.
"Hello" I replied, trying not to freak out.
There was another deafening roar as the tyrannosaurus rex's skeleton also entered the main hall.

"Are you okay, are you hurt, Rebecca?" Ahkmenrah whispered after I had marvelled a little longer at the two miniatures and Rexy.
"Yes i'm fine, no broken bones. But i'm still talking it all in... Also I did just have another brush with death. Luckily the huns were able to catch me... otherwise you'd probably be calling an ambulance right now.' I half laughed.
"I should have warned you about Rexy, i'm sorry" he muttered, clearly annoyed with himself.
"Well i'm okay so let's just forget about it" I smiled as we turned away from the other exhibits.
"I suppose I ought to take you to Larry, our night guard then" he announced before walking off down one of the hallways. I turned back to the group before I followed suit.
"Well, it was nice to meet you all"  I said before running after the pharaoh.
