I push open the door to the Gamemakers room and hand around the tray of coffees. Tobias and Caleb do the same and we stand, waiting for orders. After about 45 minutes one Gamemaker asks us for some biscuits and we leave to go get them.
“When will they fall asleep?” I ask impatiently, once we are out in the hallway.
“Soon.” Caleb answers simply.
We load two plates up with biscuits and go back into the room. Tobias gasps and I stop still, shocked. Caleb just smiles smugly at all the sleeping Gamemakers.
“Now move.” Caleb says and sprints from the room.
Tobias and I follow quickly and chase after him until he stops outside a familiar door marked “high security cell”. Caleb prises the lid off the electronic code lock on the door with the screwdriver. He then forces the screwdriver into a hole in the exposed circuit board. A red light flashes.
“DEACTIVATE!” A robotic voice says and the cell door flies open, revealing Katniss, Peeta and Gale sat on the floor.
“Hey!” Caleb smiles casually.
