Chapter 7 (Next)

She got up from her seat and headed to the teacher's table and asked,

"Am I in trouble again?"

The teacher smiled and said,

"No, but there are a two people who want to say something to you. Isn't that right boys"

"Yes Ma'am" the two boys who bullied her the other day said

"Sorry for the bullying Tabitha, we promise to be nicer to you" they said in an annoyed voice probably not sorry at all

"And forgive me too Tabitha for giving you their punishment" the teacher apologized

"Uh-um its ok, I forgive you guys" she said and as soon as she did, she came back to her seat with a confused look on her face.

"What did you do?" She asked me

"Well I just told the teacher what happened" I said

"But why? You didn't have to do that you know" she asked

"It's called being nice and me saying I just want to be your friend" I said

Her face lit up a little like if nobody shone her kindness in a while,

"Fine, but with one condition" she said

"What is it?" I asked

"You should never betray me" she said

This condition seemed like a really big thing to her so I said,

"I promise" as we shook hands.

Soon we became the best of friends she acted differently than before and more people saw that too.

And soon she was friends with everybody even the two bullies

"Well what about her siblings" Mikhale asked me

"Well their coming was a little shocking to me"

After I believe a year, she called me to meet some people at the park.

When I reached there I saw 3 kids standing next to her.

She introduced them as her siblings in adoptive relation.

This shocked me because,

1. She was just an only child last year

2. Who adopts these many kids
( ok there might be some people who would.....but it shocked me OK )

And everything went smoothly after that

It was already nightfall when I finished, crickets chirping through the night as Mikale looked out to the distance for a short while and thanked me for the story as he left.

Then I looked out to the distance as I recalled a question that jumbled me for some time.

Why was Tabitha so confused when someone was nice to her?

But I rather not dwell in it.
