~Jazmine~
I unwrap my ankle and slide my boot on. I shove the bandage into my bag and grab my keys before slipping out the window. I take a deep breath before putting my feet on the ground. I grimance at the pain before pushing it away and walking to my car. I start it up and start driving toward where the rest of the hunters are staying. My phone buzzes and I pick it up.
"Where are you going?" Jacob asks. I roll my eyes.
"Mo's, I'll be fine, I have my bow, and my daggers, which are in desperate need of being cleaned. Anyways, they still need training and besides, I'm healing." I reply.
"Really?" He remarks sarcastically.
"Yes, dumbass. I took the damn bandage off and managed to get out the window, oh yeah and I'm driving. I'll be fine." I state.
"Okay, better hope that they don't run a DNA test on the blood. Cops are already investigating, they might search for possible victims." Jake says.
"Well how fast I healed is gonna be fun to explain." I say.
"They won't take too much onto it as long as your arm stays wrapped, but then again it was something supernatural that attacked you so I'd say that it was an archery accident."
"They won't believe me. I'll tell them it was some random animal."
"Then they'd try to figure out how you're still alive."
"They'll just think it was 'giant monster wolves' again. Or bears because they never really solved that case. Those bloodsuckers left."
"Not for long."
"Obviously." I glance in my rearview mirror and roll my eyes. "I gotta go." I don't wait for an answer and hang up. I set my phone down and slightly speed up. Ryder's Camaro may be fast, but my Impala is faster. He speeds up and I speed up more. He stays hot on my ass and I upshift, starting to move too fast for him. I watch smoke come from his engine and smirk speeding up more. He spins out and I slow down and continue my drive. I pull into the driveway and get out with my bag. I step inside and Mo looks at me.
"I thought I said keep your ankle wrapped." She states. I smirk.
"It's almost healed, besides we have a lot of work to do. We don't have much time before the newborns show up either. So let's get to work." I clasp my hands together and drop my bag on the couch before pulling out a box of arrowheads. I set them on the table and everyone slowly moves over. "These are all vervein infused or laced, they will kill almost instantly." I open the box. "But only if you get them in the heart. The infection will take longer to spread the farther from the heart. If you get lucky enough to get a major artery, you'll be fine, if you aren't, then you better hope someone can cover your ass." I close the case and a boy with black hair that was slicked back but puffed up eyes my arm.
"What if someone can't cover you?" He asks. I look up at him and force my eyes to change.
"One of two things, you're quick enough to rip its head off, or you die." I flick my back and he nods toward my arm.
"That happened last night didn't it?"
"Yes, but it's healing." I state.
