~Jacob~
I glance over at Jazmine, who sits with her knees to her chest and her face buried in her knees. Tonight, instead of carrying Bella up a mountain, I'm staying with Jazmine no matter what. The rest of the hunters were sharpening weapons and cleaning guns or adding vervein to them. Jazmine had already done that before she came and sat. We only have until the morning before they'll be here, and then we'll fight. The hunters would stay hidden in the trees or behind them and fight from there. Jazmine gave strict orders not to step out of the tree line, if they did, there wouldn't be saving them. No one would be quick enough. Jazmine slowly lifts her head and pulls all of her hair to one side before resting her head back on her knees. She sleepily smiles and slips her fingers through mine.
"How much sleep have you been getting?" I ask her.
"About eight hours." She mumbles.
"A night?" I raise an eyebrow.
"This week." If it was early in the week, I wouldn't be too worried, but it's Friday.
"Jazmine, you need to get some sleep." I sigh.
"I try, but I can't." She states swinging our arms back and forth.
"Fine then, I'll stay up until you fall asleep, if you wake up, wake me up too." I order.
"Jake no, you need sleep, especially if you're gonna fight newborns." She stops swinging our arms and straightens her form.
"You're fighting too." I retort.
"I'll be in the trees shooting, I could just sit and do nothing and be fine. You'll be fighting without any weapon or way of hiding."
"I'll be fine, Jazmine." I state."I'm not letting you get yourself hurt. I refuse." She crosses her arms. She used to do this all the time when we were younger. She'd say that she refused and cross her arms. I smile at her.
"Who said I was gonna get hurt?" I tease. She bites her lip,
"Fine, you win." Jazmine states.

I secure a belt around my waist, then a sword above it, a sword that wraps around like a belt. I zip up a leather vest over my bra and slide my daggers into the holster on my leg. I lean down and buckle my boots up before sliding more weapons into my boots. I put a pistol in my other leg holster and swing my quiver up onto my shoulder, still full. I grab my bow and throw it onto my shoulder. I pull my hair back into a bun so it'll be out of the way and trudge down the stairs. Some of the hunters gape at me, the rest simply continue with what they were doing.
"Suit up bitches, we don't have much longer." I order to the hunters who simply didn't seem cut out for it. Jake walks in and blinks a few times. I smile and stand in front of him.
"How can you even walk with that much weighing you down?" He whispers into my ear.
"I'm perfectly capable of kicking ass, Jacob. It doesn't weigh anything." I state. He kisses my temple and pulls back before his hands rest on my waist, above the belts. I smile and we kiss, before slowly pulling back. "Sam said he needed you there with the rest of them, when they got there. I'll wait until most of the newborns are distracted before we move in. Just be extremely careful for me?"
"I will, as long as you will too." He caresses my cheek. I bring my hand up to his and slide my fingers through his.
"I love you, Jacob." I whisper. He gently smiles.
"I love you too." We kiss again and rest our foreheads against each other.
"Go before Sam gets off of what he should be doing." I sigh. He kisses my forehead before running out the door and phasing. I spin around to face an army of fully equipped hunters. I take a deep breath. "Alright, stay away from the battlefield. Stay behind the tree line and only aim to kill. Most importantly- stay alive." I get nods from many.
"She speaks from mind. Don't go after anyone, and stay away and out of sight." Jared states.
"Do not be seen. Do not cause a scene. Stay hidden and only make accurate shots." Mo adds.
"I hope you're all ready, because we leave now." I turn on the balls of my feet and walk out the door. I hear hoots and hollers before we all run off into the woods. We slow down when we get near and everyone starts climbing trees. I walk on the ground until I get to the tree line. I climb a tree and grab a flare arrow. I fire it into the air and it lands in the center of the field, sparks coming from it, the newborns drop their guard and everyone runs at them, the hunters staying hidden. I give the signal and they all start firing. I watch Jake rip the head off of a newborn, and Leah rip one in half.
"You can't save them both." A voice says, the dream I had had a while back, Leah went after a newborn, and I stopped it, partially, it got to Jake. I have to save them both, and I will. I pull my pistol out and blow half of a newborn's skull off. I kill one after the other, their bodies crumbling to the ground. I look toward Emmett, too many newborns surrounding him. I flip down from the tree and pry one from his back before ripping its head off. I rip the arms off of another while he takes the other two. He nods a thanks and I nod back. I can't go back to the trees, I blew my cover, I can't blow theirs. I draw back an arrow and it pierces the heart of a newborn. I manage to get to the other side of the field and climb up into the top of a tree. I look out across the field, then into the treeline at the hunters shooting at newborns. My eyes glow, giving them the cue to stop. I jump out of the tree as Bella and Edward step out of the treeline. "You can't save them both, little girl." I glance toward a newborn smirking. Leah runs for it.
"Leah don't!" Edward yells. I push Leah back and kick the newborn away. I grab my daggers and twirl them. The newborn runs toward me, I throw it back, nicking its skin with the dagger. It throws me onto the ground, a few yards away. My vision begins to blur, but I force myself to see straight, my eyes glowing emerald green. I watch it wrap its arms around Jake and my heart stops for a second. It drops him and he shifts into a human. The newborn goes to hit him, but instantly I'm in front of the newborn, throwing my arm up. Its arm hitting mine, a bright green light coming off of me. It blows the newborn back. I growl and it comes back toward me. I jump on its shoulders and rip its head off before throwing it onto the fire.
"I told you."
I glance at Sam, my chest heaving.
"Get him to Billy's." Is all that I can say before running toward my hunters. "Let's go!" I order starting toward the house.
