~Jazmine~

I throw my vest on the floor and remove all weapons from myself and throw them on the bed. I grab a T-shirt and sweat pants and put them on. I take my hair down and shake it out. I slide on my high tops and grab a bandage to wrap my arm. Where I used my arm to block the newborn, the skin seemed to disappear, the patch looking burnt and torn. I grab my keys and run downstairs. I run out the door and to the Impala. I start it up and stomp on the gas, burning out in the driveway before it actually starts moving. I grip the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white. I glance at the speedometer- 243 miles per hour. I hit the break and drift through a curve before shifting and speeding down the road toward Billy's. I slow down as I come toward the drive way, easing into a hault. I shut the Impala off and Quil opens the door and helps me out. He hands me a long sleeved shirt to cover my arms. I pull it over my head and get my arms through while Embry shuts the car door. A scream comes from the house and my hand wraps around Quil's, he gently rubs the pad of his thumb over my knuckles. Embry places a hand on my back comfortly. Another scream comes from the house and I squeeze Quil's hand, and close my eyes.

"Doc's rebreaking all his bones." Jared says.

"I told him I had it, he's such an idiot, I had it." Leah states. Something inside me snaps. I open my eyes and they glow just before I jump forward, until Quil and Embry both wrap their arms around me and hold me back.

"Take her somewhere to cool off, she can't control herself yet." Billy says quietly. Embry and Quil drag me off into the woods. They let me go and I draw my arm back before punching a tree, bark exploding off of it. I hear Jake scream again and I kick the tree, it flies back a few feet before falling down, taking two other trees with it. My chest heaves slightly and I lean against a different tree. Quil and Embry share a look before approaching me. He screams again and I bite my lip. I grab Embry's hand and he squeezes it gently. Quil rests a hand on my shoulder and sadly smiles. Another scream comes from the house and I squeeze my eyes shut.

"It's okay, he's done." Embry whispers. The two slowly lead me back toward the house. I pull away and climb up onto the roof. I lean my back against the chimney and play with the sleeves of the shirt Quil had given me to cover my arm. I stare at the roof beneath me and knawl on my lip. I glance out into the woods, the three trees laying on the ground.

"He's asking for you, Jazmine." I whip my head toward the Cullen standing by Billy, yet addressing me. I nod and walk toward the edge of the roof and flipping off before glancing at Billy then walking inside. I stand in the doorway and sadly smile.

"Hey, beautiful." He smirks. I walk and sit beside him in the desk chair.

"Hi." I say grabbing the hand that isn't injured. "Are you okay?" I ask like a total dumbass.

"Besides a few broken bones that are already healing, yeah. I couldn't be better now that you're here." He replies. "Are you okay though?" I bite my lip and force a nod.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I gently squeeze his hand and sweep hair from his face with the other.

"Jazmine." He says sternly, even though he is on a lot of morphine.

"I'm fine, I promise, I was just really worried about you." Not a total lie, not a lie other than the 'I'm fine' part. He smiles sleepily and squeezes my hand.

"I love you." He states. I smile.

"I love you too Jakey." I whisper. "Do you remember when I came last time before I moved here?" I ask softly. He smiles a little bigger.

"I'll never forget it." He replies.

"I meant what I said, every single word." I state.

"Say it again, I want to hear you say those exact words one more time." He says.

"I was about to leave and you stopped me. You asked me if I was coming back soon, then I said, 'I don't know when I'm coming back, but I'll always be here, no matter what. Just like we'll always have each other, no matter what. Einstein said two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, but he clearly didn't know us.' Then I had to go, and those were the last words you heard me say for three years." The memory plays in my head, his hair was still long then, I had braided the top half of it that morning. The rest of it was blowing slightly in the wind, his hoodie moving with it.

"I love you, Jazmine Brooke." He smiles.

"I love you more, Jacob Ephraim." I state before leaning upward and we kiss. We slowly pull back and I kiss his forehead before sitting back in the chair, our hands still intertwined.

He healed a lot quicker than we thought, it only took two days to heal completely. We figured it'd at least be a week. He knows about my arm, and he doesn't seem too happy about it either. I never expected him too, but this is worse than I expected. Maybe he wouldn't be as mad if I told him after it happened, but I didn't want him to get worried.

"Has it healed any?" Jake asks referring to my arm.

"No." I reply in a small voice.

"Jazmine, why the hell didn't you tell me!?!" He throws his arms up.

"I-I just d-didn't want you to worry. I didn't want you to hurt yourself worse because you were worried about me when you needed to heal." I state before sucking on my lip. He sighs before running his hand down his face and sitting beside me. He rests his hand on my knee and glances at me.

"Is that why you didn't heal? Because you worried about me?" He asks calmly.

"No... I don't know, maybe... I don't know about this kind of stuff, Jacob. I don't know why it's not healing or if it will at all. Okay? I don't fucking know." I run hand through my hair and stare at the ground.

"Hey, calm down. It's okay. I know that I probably shouldn't have blown up, but just calm down. We can figure it out somehow." He whispers softly.

"But what of we can't? What happens then? Huh?" I ask.

"We'll figure something out, we always do." He replies.

"Have fun little girl. I warned you. Maybe you did save them both, somewhat, but I know your fate, and it's too late to change it now."
