The door bell was ringing annoyingly and Tonya somehow pulled herself out of the tub here she had just been enjoying her nightly bath. This could only be one person; Bradley.

She got out of the bath and put on her bath robe to let the incessant little wretch in. She flung the door open aggressively to see Bradley standing sheepishly with a bouquet of red roses in his hand which he pushed at her instantly much to her surprise.

“These are flowers for you Tonya” he stammered. Bradley could not believe he was doing this romantic bull crap. Since the accident he decided to try a little harder in his relationship with Tonya because it’s what Nathan would’ve wanted him to do.

“Amm Bradley, are you ok? The flowers are beautiful but did you seriously go to a flower shop and get me flowers? Forgive me if I’m a bit confused” Tonya responded.

“Well I’ve decided we need a truce and this is what I thought of to get us there” Bradley replied smiling.

“Oh ok, do you wanna come inside?” Tonya replied still in a bewildered tone.

For this odd relationship a nice gesture such as flowers is probably a trap like the flowers were sprayed with something she’s allergic to that’ll kill her. An exaggeration yes, but you understand how odd this is for Tonya right now.

“Yeah sure” he replied still a bit shaky and sheepish.

“Um in case you didn’t notice I was in the middle of a bath Bradley you can wait out here ‘til I finish”

“Nah I think I’ll join you” he retorted grinning.

“And I think you won’t, you’re not off the hook yet Mr. just cause you brought me some nice flowers. Oh thanks by the way they are beautiful”

“Fine I’ll wait here and watch some TV or something” he replied dejectedly.

Bradley had anticipated Tonya’s rejection and it was all a part of his plan. He had stopped by a little Italian restaurant on his way to Tonya’s and bought some lasagne, her favourite food, and then some ice cream from the supermarket along with a decent red wine that they both liked. So he set up the little dining room table for them to have dinner even lighting two candles that he placed decoratively on the table. This was definitely out of character for him but he was gonna try something new; see if this romance thing could be what he and Tonya were missing.

About fifteen minutes later Tonya emerged from her bedroom with her pyjamas on to find that Bradley had brought them dinner, something her certainly never did. There had to be poison in something on that table, either the food or the wine but she was certain something was wrong.

“I was thinking we never do anything romantic, we always have pizza or something and have dinner in front the TV, I think it’s time for a change”, Bradley informed Tonya.

Bradley rounded Tonya’s side of the table a pulled out the chair for her, something else he never did, she was certain now she was gonna be killed tonight. Nonetheless she sat down and to Bradley’s bewilderment took up their plates and switched them waiting for Bradley to eat before she took a bite.

“I’m not trying to kill you Tonya come on” Bradley said annoyed that she suspected something because he was being a gentleman.

“Just cause someone’s nice to you doesn’t mean you’re automatically gonna get hurt or something, why can’t we have dinner without you suspecting foul play that’s so immature of you” he snapped.

“Can you really blame me Brad? The four years we’ve been whatever we’ve been you haven’t once done something like this for me, EVER, so can you really blame me? “Tonya snapped back beginning to get angry.
