Julia Hale, Alec's Mate

Chapter 10

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*Fast forward to when the newborn army attacks*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

I was allowed to train with everyone before the fight but I wasn't allowed to fight. I knew how to handle newborns, but my mom was the one that told me I had to stay home while the fight went on. So here I am, sitting on my bed looking out my window being bored out of my mind. The fight was going to start around noon, when I looked at the clock it was 12:30. I started to get worried about my family, I knew Jasper, dad, and Carlisle could handle themselves, but then I thought about the rest of them, mom, Esme, Alice, what if they died? I pushed the thought out of my head when I heard some one outside, but when I sniffed the air it was a sweet scent but I couldn't put my finger on it. I stayed in my room, but when I heard them start looking around downstairs, I sped into my closet. They stopped looking down stairs and started walking up the stairs, they opened my door and my heart rate when through the roof, if its a vampire that is in my room I'm screwed. They opened the closet door and I just stood there in shock.

Alec's P.O.V.

We followed the newborns from Seattle and we watched them fight the Cullen's, with their advantage of Jasper and his knowledge of newborns. After the fight we decided to talk to the Cullen's to see why Bella was still human, she was supposed to be turned months ago. As we approached I started to  smell something that I've never smelled before, it was sweet like Cherry Blossoms. It was faint, but all I knew was that I wanted to find out what this amazing smell was, so when we finished up with the Cullen's I told Jane I was going for a quick hunt, which wasn't that much of a lie because this could be a human with a very enticing blood. I followed the smell from the meadow to this house, the scent was coming from inside. Could this be the Cullen's house?  Do they have another human in there? I walked up to the front door and automatically picked out a heartbeat that seemed to beat a mile a minute. If it was a human I'm gonna 'play' with my food, scare them if you will. I heard them get up and shut a door, I headed upstairs and the scent was so intense and I loved it, I walked over to the closet doors and flung them open just to see a beautiful girl, who looked to be about 12 years old, she looked me up and down until she stopped and looked me in the eyes. That's when my world froze, I couldn't hurt this girl because she was my mate, my perfect match. I fell to my knees while she sped out of the room as fast as a vampire, could the Cullen's have made my mate into an immortal child? If so there is going to be serious hell to pay. I stand as I hear someone behind me.

"What are you doing in my daughters room?" I hear Rose ask, in a venom laced tone. "Why did you turn my mate into an immortal child?!" I asked as I raised my voice slightly. As I did I noticed the girl hiding behind Rose, she looked so scared and it pained me because I caused this pain. "She's not an immortal child, Alec. She's half human and half vampire." Rose said with a frown. How could that be? Her mother was a human and he father was a vampire? "Aro, he would want her in the guard if he knew she existed." I said with a sigh, "Then its a good thing you're about to forget we ever met." The little girl said as she ran at me, and that's the last thing I remember before I black out.

Julia's P.O.V.

A couple weeks ago I learned how to wipe certain things from peoples minds. It hurt me to do that to my mate, make him forget I exist, but I know one day we'll meet again and things will be different I'll be older and my family wont get in trouble for people thinking I'm an immortal child. But, for now I have to hide from the world and be a secret, I'm fine with that as long as my family is safe.
