Chapter 13: Meeting

Sofia's POV

Ring Ring Ring

"What?" I answered my phone in annoyance. It was 3 am, who the hell decided to call me at this time.

"Boss." The person responded. It was Kevin. I stayed quiet waiting for him to explain the reason for the call. "Ricky got caught." He stated.

Ricky? Who's Ricky?

"Who the hell is Ricky?" I asked angrily sitting up in my bed. "And how the hell did he get caught?"

If I didn't know this person, why would he be picking up my shipment? And how the hell did he get caught? I've done this countless of times, the plan was bulletproof. No one knew but a selected few.

"The new guy." He started. "We were attacked at the drop-off and they took him. The rest of us got away."

"This is the reason we don't send newbies to collect shipments! Who sent him?" I got up angrily. Now I had to lose my sleep to deal with this. Ridiculous. "I thought I sent Andrew." I added.

"Andrew was busy. He told Alex and Alex sent Ricky." I hung up as I got the answer. I was ready to punch a wall.

That idiot.

I probably won't be home all day so I might as well get dressed now. I groaned quietly as I walked over to my closet.

I quickly changed into a green crop top and ripped black jeans before throwing on a leather jacket. It was probably cold outside since it was still the middle of the night.

I brushed out my hair and threw it up into a ponytail, not wanting it to fall onto my face

I brushed out my hair and threw it up into a ponytail, not wanting it to fall onto my face. I put on my black converse then grabbed my keys and phone from my bedside table as I head out.

Walking out, I unlock my car, a red Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. I got in and took out my phone, dialing Alex. "Hello?" He answered with a raspy voice.

"What the hell Alex?" I practically yell as I put him on speaker. He sighed and mumbled something to someone else, most likely a girl he had over for the night.

"I told you not to ca-" he started but I cut him off.

"Not now Alex! I'm mad." At this point, I'm annoyed, mad, and tired. He was going to get a piece of my mind. "You can't send newbies to collect important shipments! I mean come on!" I exclaim starting up my car.

I heard shuffling from his side of the call then his voice. "Calm down." He sounded annoyed as if I had no reason to be reacting the way I was.

I scoff. He did not just tell me to calm down.

"No, this caused us a lot. Money, products, a man, our location and our plans." I start to list the things that we could lose from them simply attacking us at the drop-off. "Not only will we now not get the shipment, but The Five took this Ricky," I spit out his name as if it were poison. "Who even is he?! I don't know who the hell this guy is! They are going to get all the information out of him."
