Chapter 24: Broken

"He was going to kill you!" Sofia yelled, outraged.

My eyes widened as I took a step back, as if I had been shot. "W-what?"

"He got close to you, so he could kill you. The only reason he was nice, was so he can kill you." Sofia told me as I kept backing up until my back hit the wall.

No.

"No, thats a lie. It has to be. Right?" I looked from Sofia to all three of the boys. They all tried to look anywhere else but me, with regret in their eyes.

"Right Cole?" I made my voice louder as I focused on just him. Tears threatening to fall as he looked at me with pained eyes.

"Right Cole?" My voice was barley coming out at this point, it was so low I didn't think they could hear me. Tears were running down my cheeks as I wished for this all to be a dream.

"I'm sorry, Angel." He sounded so heartbroken, but I didn't care. He doesn't get to be heartbroken, he was going to kill me, for revenge, I bet.

As I slid down the wall and onto the ground I covered my head as I started to sob. I felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest and stabbed with multiple knifes.

All that was going through my mind were the same six words, over and over again.

He was going to kill you...

I heard footsteps walking towards me before they quickly stopped. "Take another step, I fucking dare you." Sofia said in a threatening tone. I slowly looked up as I tried to calm myself down enough to focus on what was happening.

Cole was standing just a few feet away from me with bloodshot eyes looking down at me. His eyes held the least emotion I have ever seen in them him as he stood there with clenched fists. Next to him stood Sofia, holding a gun to his head, glaring at him.

Dean having seen this first, brought out a gun putting it to Sofia, making Alex point a gun towards him. Jason having his friends back, pulled a gun to Alex but Robert being the protective brother he is, pulled a gun to Jason.

It all happened so fast, one by one everyone took out a gun pointing it to the next person who threatened their side of their gangs life.

Everyone now had a gun pointing to someone's head most of which I didn't know. I sat there frozen with tears flowing down my cheeks. I had to do something.

I sucked in a deep breath and wiped my tears as I tried to keep an emotionless face like Cole. It wasn't a time for tears right now.

I shakily stood up as everyone silently watched me, but still stayed alerted, prepared to shoot if needed. I looked around until my eyes landed on Sofia. "Sof, put the gun away." I said softly.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "What?"

"Drop the gun." I repeated louder for everyone to hear.

"Did you not hear me? He was going to ki-" I stopped her from finishing the awful sentence.

"I know, but that doesn't matter right now, okay? Just; Please help them with the other gang before the guy that did this," I motioned towards my wounded tummy. "actually ends up killing me."

She was about to reply, but Alex beats her to it. "Fine. For now, we will let them live and kill whoever did that, then we do what we want." He made eye contact with me, repeating, "Until then we don't hurt them." He reasoned as he slowly put his gun down and motioned for the others to do the same.

Most of which did, but others didn't, that is, until Robert yelled. "What are you waiting for? You heared him!" After making sure they all had their guns down he continued. "So what now?"

Alex sighed. "Now, we plan."

Everyone stayed quiet, waiting to be told what to do.

Robert slightly nodded. "Alright, its been a long night so we'll meet back here tomorrow night."

Everyone nodded but stayed rooted to their spots. "Dismissed!" Alex yelled making everyone disappear in seconds. The only people left were me, Alex, Robert, the boys, and of course, Sofia.

"Hey, get a good nights sleep and don't come tomorrow." Robert mumbled as he walked past me, patting me on my shoulder.

"Sure." I rolled my eyes, knowing I was going to be here no matter what he said.

"Seriously Angelica. Don't come." Alex told me as he came in for a hug, only for me to lean back. Hurt flashed in his eyes but I turned my head to avoid his eye.

"Bye Alex." I mumbled out, making him slowly walk out.

"Come on Angie, I'll drive us home." Sofia said reaching for my hand but I pushed it off.

"I'd rather drive on my own."

She tried to reason. "Angelica." But I cut her off.

"Don't. Just go. I'll see you over there." I told her continuing to avoid her eye as I stared at the wall next to her.

She sighed, giving up. "See you at home." She mumbled walking out.

I was about to follow behind her, not wanting to be alone with any of the boys but was stopped. "Angel, pl-"

"Don't. Dont ever call me that again. It's Angelica, not angel, not Anne, not Angie. Angelica." I snapped at him.

"Angelica, please hear me out. It-"

"I don't care! It doesn't matter." I started walking away when I was suddenly pulled back by someone. They turned me around quickly to come face to face with Cole.

"It doesn't matter? Look, Angelica, it was a mistake, Okay? You are one of the best damn things that has ever happened to me, and I can't just watch you walk away. I really like you and that's a lot coming from me. Look, I wish I never even thought about it but I did. You don't know what your sister did. Okay? At the time I thought she deserved it, but I got to know you, now I wouldn't even think about laying a finger on you. Please, forgive me." He begged.

Tears were running down my cheeks as I stared at him, his bloodshot eyes held a pleading look in them, but I just couldn't get over the fact that he was once thinking about killing me.

Slowly I pulled my hand out of his. "No." I said softly as I turned around and walked out, towards the car I came in, leaving behind a broken Cole.
