During gym class, the teacher got us to go up infront and do a little something. He helped us out by blasting Boom Boom and the whole crew danced away. I knew that this would be Laura's first time seeing us perform live, so when it came to my turn to do the airflares, I put in my heart and my soul. We ended the performance with a blast and all the students cheered at the top of their voices. Lukas immediately got round to teaching everybody the Top Rock and we all danced together. Laura was having such a good time that she didn't even see me standing next to her trying to get her attention. I got her to follow me and join us infront to dance together. I didn't know why, but when I saw her having so much fun, I felt really happy inside.
Gym class ended and while everybody went to change, I took the chance to write a note for Laura. She came out of the washroom with her silky hair done up in a neat ponytail and a simple navy blue hairband. John was still psycho about me having a crush, because I had always been the kind of guy to be careful with my feelings. Laura smiled and packed her comb back into her bag and took her phone out. 'You going anywhere after this?' Solo asked.
'Yeah, my god mom is picking me up.' She checked her phone, 'but it looks like I'm gonna have to wait awhile, cos its still early before she comes'
I glanced at my watch. I've still got time. Might as well stay with her and keep her company. The boys all went their separate ways but before that, I watched each of them give Laura a goodbye hug then leave. She waved to them and we went outside to sit on the grass to wait for her god mom. It was peaceful as all the students were either having lunch in the cafeteria or had gone home. I liked it that way. It made me feel like there was only her and I in the world. I put my arm around her shoulder. 'So how was gym? and your first time dancing infront of people? oh and I'm just saying this as a matter of fact, you are an amazing dancer.'
'It was great, thanks to you and the boys. If only I could spend more time with you all. Thanks Eman.' was all she replied.
Her god mom soon arrived and called her. We stood up and she was about to go the car when I pulled her arm and gave her another tight hug. It felt great again. 'I'm glad I met you. Text me whenever you need somebody to talk you alright. You're cool. See you tomorrow!' I whispered in her ear, at the same time slipping the note into her hand.
I couldn't wait to see her tomorrow, and I didn't reckon I would be getting any sleep that night.
