Librarian's Daughter

This is something that popped in my head sooo... Enjoy! It's a High School AU btw

Stacy Hinojosa had just moved to California with her mother. She didn't know why they moved but she wasn't going to complain. Even when she found out that her mom was going to be her high school's librarian.

"Are you serious Mom?" Stacy asked when her mother asked if she could help out in the library. During her free period. "Please sweetie?" the older woman asked. "Fiiine. I'll do it" the teenage brunette agreed.

For the next couple of weeks, Stacy helped her mother in the library during her 5th period. None of her friends had that period off so she was stuck with listening to her mom talk to other teachers or staff members.

One day, two other students, Nathan and Josh were headed to the school library to escape their friend, Preston talking about his crush, Holly. "He needs to ask her out already" Nathan stated. "He can't even say hi to her so I kinda doubt that" Josh responded. "Ya..." the train-addict trailed off, looking at a girl who was behind the desk as the librarian was talking to the vice-principal. "Oh no" Josh murmured. "What?" "I have no problem with you liking the librarian's daughter but please don't turn into Preston. I like talking to you" he said, pushing his best friend towards the desk as he walked off, disappearing into the hall of books. "Hi" the girl smiled. "Hey... I'm Nathan" Nathan introduced. "Stacy, are you looking for a specific book ooor...." Stacy trailed off. "No, not really but uh... Do you maybe want to hang out sometime?" (The only times I've been asked out, they were dares like "YO! WANNA GO OUT?!" so I don't know how to write this....) Stacy was about to answer when her mother showed up. "Hmm.... Nathan Oneday, you get good grades and don't get in trouble. I approve" and she walked away. "Ok then... Yes, I'd love to."

"Nathan!" Aaron yelled, getting his friend's attention. "What?!" he asked, snapping back to reality. "He's trying to block out your rants about about Holly" Zim stated. Preston just looked love-struck and blushed. "Anywaays, Nathan, how did the date wi-" Josh was cut off by everyone at the table, "DATE?!" "With who?!" Casey screamed. "Why didn't we know about this?!" Aaron asked, still yelling. "It wasn't a date" Nathan said. "Woah, Ken... What happened?" Wez asked, noticing their sassy friend walking to the table with a scrach above his left eye and purple-ish skin near his right jaw line. "Another fight?" Casey asked. Ken sat down before sarcastically saying, "Noo, this is all makeup I got from my sister that totally exists."

It soon became a routine that Nathan would visit Stacy in the library during their free period. "You look tired" he pointed out one day. "I didn't get much sleep last night. I was up till 2:40 something working on my science project" Stacy explained, yawning. "For Miss. Le'Inne? I thought that wasn't due for another 2 weeks." Stacy yawned again before talking. "It's not but I spent the first week trying to come up with a project so I... I wasted a lot of tiiimme." Aww... Nathan cooed.

"Hey Stacy?" The train-addict asked after a 2 second silence. "Ya Nate?" she yawned. "Please don't call me that- besides the point. I thought you would want to see a movie tomorrow?" he asked. "Sure, so are we dating now because this date thing has been going on for a while" Stacy stated, catching the guy off guard. "Uh, I mean... If you want t-" Stacy cut him off, "If I didn't, I would have asked... Or agreed to go out with you the first time we met." "Alright then."

Kind of a crappy ending but I enjoyed writing this.  I'll probably be doing more of these AUs. Even though they take a while to write (atleast this one did but I blame dreaded Writer's Block for that) Anyways, B-Byyyyyeee
