My code is to do good unto the world,
To learn from past missteps,
In the better service of good unto the world.
God is never a thought upon my head,
Not because of hate nor ignorance,
Neither because of distaste for spirituality,
Because there could only be one God,
And that is one who demands goodness.
One may ask how do we know goodness,
Without a divine path beforehand,
Is goodness so unnatural to need a guide?
When sadness leaves a heart,
When loneliness fades,
When desperation dissipates,
Do you not know tears of badness from tears of goodness?
