Future Dancer

You are doing a career shadowing project and have the opportunity to shadow one of your favorite choreographers. Her name is Danielle and she has been your favorite since you started dancing. One thing that is the most amazing out of this experience is that she is going to be with the dancers that perform behind Trey Songz. You seriously can't wait until you get to the studio.

You and Danielle are going to the studio together. You smile the whole ride there.

Yu: Hey Danielle, I have a question.

D: Yeah, what's up?

Yu: Is he going to be there?

You say referring to Trey.

D: I honestly don't know. If he come by, I'll make sure you meet him.

Yu: Thank you Danielle.

You smile as she nods and pulls in the parking lot. You both get out and get your bags.

D: Are you ready?

Yu: I have been ready since I first met you.

She giggles as you both enter the studio to six dancers stretching.

D: Hey girls!

They all wave at you.

D: I have a very special person with us today. This is Erica and she will be shadowing us today.

One of the dancers walk up to you.

D: Hi, I'm Jessica.

Yu: Hey, nice to meet you.

You shake hands with her as you go to put your stuff down.

D: Ok, ladies, we will be doing a new dance today.

They all nod as you look at them.

D: So, it is noted that it has to be just sexual?

The girls nod and giggle as you do the same.

Yu: What is the song?

Another one of the dancers, Lexi, speaks up.

L: Chill.

Yu: Ooo, good choice.

L: I know right?

You all laugh at her comment as you lay back on one of the mirrors.

D: Alright, let's begin ladies!

They all stand up and begin learning the new routine. You watch them dance as you start thinking of some moves.

An Hour Later

D: Ok, you girls can go get lunch. Come back in an hour.

The girls get their things and leave. Danielle looks at you.

D: How was it so far?

Yu: It was amazing. You all are amazing.

D: I saw you thinking back here while we were practicing. What were you thinking?

Yu: I just thought about dance moves and stuff.

D: I want to hear, I might want to put them in the dance.

You smile as you stand up and face the mirror.

Yu: I do better when I do it myself.

D: Ok, let me turn the music on.

She go to the stereo and turn the song on. You start doing the dance they were practicing and add your moves in. You finish and she looks at you.

D: That was really good.

You smile at her.

Yu: Thanks Danielle.

D: You mind teaching your part to them when they come back?

Yu: Really?

D: Yeah, them moves are hot.

You giggle as she returns it.

Yu: Yeah, ok. Thank you so much!

D: No problem.

The girls walk back in as you both look at them.

D: You guys are back early.

J: We seen Erica through the window and wanted to learn it.

You smile from ear to ear as they put their stuff down.

Yu: You ladies ready?

They nod as you start teaching them.

Another Hour Later

D: Ok, let's practice the whole thing again.

You stand next to her as you watch them practice the whole dance, full out. You smile at their perfect hits and pops in the choreography. The studio door opens and you turn to see who it is.

D: Oh hey Trey!

You stand there in shock as you try to make sure you are not dreaming.

T: Wassup ladies?

The rest of them greet back as you stare at him.

T: Wassup ma? I never seen you before.

D: This is Erica and she is showing us today.

T: Oh that's what's up.

You close your mouth as you shake his hand.

T: Are you enjoying yourself?

You nod quickly after he ends his question.

D: They are just practicing the dance.

T: Well I want to see.

D: No problem.

He lay against the mirrors as you take a deep breath.

J: Erica you should do it with us.

Yu: Oh no, I'm not performing with you guys. This is for you all.

D: You should do it. You choreographed most of this.

T: Oh you did?

You turn and smile at him.

Yu: Yeah.

T: I want to see you with them.

"Damn he is demanding."

You say to yourself as you jump in with the rest of the girls.

D: Ok, Erica, you got this girl.

You all get into position and wait for the music to start. You start moving with the girls until it is a solo part. You do your own thing while they do theirs and you feel Trey's eyes looking at you. The song ends as you all do an ending pose. Applause fills the room as you stand up.

T: That was amazing. How old are you?

Yu: I'm twenty. I am doing this for credit in college.

T: If you weren't in school, I would have asked to be part of the dancers.

Yu: Really?

T: Yeah, you did your thing. How about this: after you graduate, you hit Danielle's line and let her know if you still want to be with us.

You look at the dancers as she give you the thumbs up.

Yu: You will be expecting my call Danielle.

He smiles at you and kiss the back of your hand.

T: I will look forward to it.

He smiles as he walks out the door and you look at the space he was once in.

L: Oh, girl, you better watch him. We seen him lowkey flirting with you.

The girls agree as you reject the suspected flirting.

Yu: Whatever you guys. Let's practice the dance again.

You all giggle as you watch them do the dance again.
