Terrence
I woke up early, the sun is not up yet. I grabbed all my things and slowly went downstairs. Mrs. Mildred is there drinking something from a cup and greeted me with her ever so genuine smile.
"Good Morning Mrs. Mildred" I greeted back
"Are you going home now?" She asked after taking a sip from the cup.
"Yes"
"Can you be delayed? I cooked breakfast for all of us" She persuaded
"Thanks, but I have to go home now Mrs. Mildred. I'll prepare for work"
"Wait for a while, I'll pack food for you, I know you won't be able to cook anymore" Then she walked swiftly to the kitchen. She's very thoughtful. She came back very fast and gave the food she packed. 3 egg sandwiches and teabag to drink when I get back to my house.
"Thank you again Mrs. Mildred and for the accomodation"
"You're most welcome Mr. Corrigan"
"I'll be going now Mrs. Mildred"
"Oh sure."
She unlocked the door and went outside together with me and waived which I did too. I should get home quickly.
If you'd mind asking, I have two jobs. One is as a salesman in a book store and the other is as a real estate broker.
In all fairness I can manage my time for the things I do.
The book store that I'm currently in is near the company I'm working at. One day, a post came out and I took it directly because I find it interesting and because I'm a book lover. I guess I have had read almost 50 novels in different genres. We have free reading there but the books are already picked. And I can share thoughts with other people who are into books also. It's quite entertaining too. Compared with my job in the company I'm working. Everybody's so grumpy and doesn't care for anybody but for themselves. They are really comptenent. And because many of them are newbies. I think they want to prove themselves.
And oh yes, I already saw Cecile once. She came there and she asked for assistance to find book that she would love to read. And I don't think she remember me until the day we met again.
She said she want a book that would make her understand what love is. Well, I have read a lot of that kind but Me Before You by Jojo Moyes just stands out. She took it and went directly to the tables. I was watching her the whole time. She stayed inside the there from 2 in the noon until 5 in the afternoon. And I was checking her reactions if it would be the same with me. And all that I expected came out. I even saw her shed a tear but she covered her face directly. See? That story really affects every reader.
She stood up so I pretended that I'm busy.
She came to my table and returned the book. And asked if she can purchase it. I let her have it. And you know what, I had the chance to look close at her face. She's got all the beautiful qualities that makes you captured. But her eyes caught me the most. They are hazel that light up when the light hits it. After she finished filling the forms up and gave the money, she directly went her way outside and that was very long ago. I don't think she remembers me.
After eating the food Mrs. Mildred gave. I took a warm bath for the Carmel Valley Village temperature is down. Afterwards, I jumped to my closet and took the usual white long-sleeves shirt matched with black suit and black slacks. I should style my hair. Apply a little gel and viola. A fresh looking Terrence is in sight. I took my favorite black socks and brown leather shoes. And I should not forget my red neck tie and my messenger bag. I looked at the mirror checking myself and I guess everything's fine. I'm good to go.
This a first. I woke up very late. The time is 10 A.M and I'm really starving. I decided to check Corina if she's still in bed and yes, ofcourse she is. Just wearing her under garments. Mother is not here, she went to the grocery very early. That's what she always do on Sunday. I re-heated the food she cooked and took it upstairs and wake Corina up.
