The flowers had been placed in a crystal vase on sidetable in Victoria's room. Natalie literally jumped for joy when Victoria showed her the flowers and the note. She didn't bother hiding the small smile that appeared on her face as Natalie beamed like a proud mother.

It was already 2:00 in the afternoon and the girls were both at the cafe that they frequented. Victoria wondered where Derrek went yesterday but she wouldn't let him know just how curious she actually was. She was running a few possibilities in her head when a group of girls approached their table.

It was just like a scene straight out of a movie with vindicative females targetting their next victims. Natalie threw Victoria a side glance and narrowed her eyes to the group nearing them. Like the perfect clique, the leader stepped forward confidently with her very polished look. She had a designer dress on paired with sky high pumps and an expensive clutch to complete the effect.

"Hi. I'm Lily, Derrek's girlfriend. Stay away from him."Ofcourse they knew who she was. It was the same girl who was with Derrek and his friends that night at the bar and was also the one who Derrek was with during the barbecue.

If Victoria was surprised with the girl's admission, she didn't show it. Neither did she feel threatened with the girl's words. Rather, what she felt was an iota of jealousy and a large dose of hurt. Both feelings didn't sit well with her and felt herself grimace inwardly.

"Hi Lily. I'm Victoria and this is Natalie. Maybe you should talk to Derrek, not us."

"I will. I don't understand why he would actually waste his time with the likes of you."

"It's a wonder, isn't it." Natalie butted in and looked up to smile devilishly at Lily. It was more of a statement than a question.

Lily turned away haughtily and like obedient followers, the other girls imitated her action and left, as well.

Victoria shook her head in disbelief. She didn't have time for possessive girlfriends who actually believe that they'll scare her with their confrontational attitude and nonsense threats.

This is Derrek's fault. Talk about the biggest player!

"Yeah right, girlfriend?!" Natalie exclaimed.

"Obviously, they had--have something between them." Victoria pointed out flatly.

"Of course they do. Y-O-U."

"Whatever. They deserve each other." Somehow, that didn't sound as convincing as Victoria wanted it to be. Truth is, she didn't intend to convince herself with her words anyway.
