It was a very normal and very boring day at Uncle's shop. Jade couldn't believe how boring it had been. It was already a week into summer vacation and nothing exciting had happened. Uncle Jackie was gone on an archeological dig until tomorrow and there had been no dark forces causing trouble. She wished something, anything would happen. Just then the bell on the door rang as a customer walked in.

Hello. Welcome to Uncle's Rare Fines," said uncle. Jade looked up to see what boring stick in the mud had walked in this time. But it wasn't a normal customer. It was a beautiful blonde woman. Jade couldn't believe it. What was someone like her doing in Uncle's shop? She bet she would make a better girlfriend for Uncle Jackie than Viper. She probably wasn't a criminal if she was a customer at Uncle's shop. At least Uncle Jackie wouldn't be able to complain about that. But how was she going to get them together? Uncle Jackie wasn't supposed to be back until tomorrow. Just then the bell on the door rang again and Uncle Jackie walked in.

"Jackie!" she said running up to him and giving him a hug. "You're back early!"

"Yes, it's good to see you too Jade." The woman saw this exchange and smiled at them, then went back to talking with Uncle. "Oh, and I brought something for you. He pulled out a necklace from his pocket. It was a simple necklace with a piece of jade on the end. "Sorry it isn't real jade. I wouldn't have been able to afford it then."

"Where did you get this," they heard Uncle ask.

"I got it-" Jackie started.

"Not you! Her," Uncle said pointing at the woman. Jackie and Jade walked over to see what he was talking about. It was a beautiful pendent in the shape of the sun with a heart in the center.

"My father gave it to me."

"May I see it," Jackie asked.

"Of course," she said handing it to him.

It looked to be only about thirty or so years old but when Jackie looked at the back it had an inscription written in ancient Chinese. Jackie had never seen this happen before. Not many people knew ancient Chinese so it was very odd to see it on something so new.

"Do you know where your father got this," Jackie asked.

She shook her head. "All I know I've had it since I was a baby. I was trying to find out when it was made."

"Well it only looks to be about thirty years old, but the writing is from the Han Dynasty. Around 206 BC."

"Thank you," she said taking it back.

"I would love to study it further. If you give me your number and email, I could get it back to you."

"I'm sorry," she said looking apologetic. "But I never go anywhere with out it. It's my good luck charm. I don't know if you believe in magic, but it's supposed to have healing and protection powers. I will give you my name and number though in case you have any more questions. She pulled out a scrap piece of paper out of her purse and wrote down her name and number, then handed it to Jackie. "It was nice to meet you," she said and left.

"What's her name," Jade asked trying to peek at the paper in Jackie's hand.

"Lilly Rain."

"Pretty."
