Several months later Jade accidently shrunk Hak Foo and Jackie. Her, Uncle, and Tohru had just realized what had really happened and Uncle was about t perform the counter spell, when the bell rang signifying a customer.

"What if they step on Jackie," Jade exclaimed.

"Uncle will deal with them," Uncle said walking out of the room. "Sorry," he said stepping into the other room, "We are closing temporarily," he said feeling a little pained turning away a potential customer. "Come back later."

Just then he realized who it was. It was the same woman from a few months ago.

"That's okay. I was just here to see Jackie He said he had a few more questions for me. I wasn't supposed to come until tomorrow, but I was on this side of town so I decided to stop by early."

"Jackie is not here right now," Uncle lied.

"Oh. I'll come back tomorrow then." She turned to leave. As she turned she looked down and saw a lash of red. She paused and realized it was a tiny man. Then she noticed a tiny Jackie running away from him. Without hesitating, she carefully stepped on Hak Foo's legs. He screamed in pain, but only Jackie heard him.

"Is something wrong," Uncle asked.

"No you just have a little pest."

Uncle was surprised. "In my shop?"

"Don't worry. I handled it." She bent over and picked up Hak Foo using two of her fingers. Then she extended her other hand for Jackie. He hopped on and she stood up. She extended both of them towards Uncle. "I won't ask."

Uncle's jaw dropped a little as he carefully took both men. Hak Foo tried to stand up, but fell down screaming.

"She giant crushed legs" he exclaimed. No one except Jackie noticed.

Uncle took them to the back room and Lilly followed. Jade and Tohru were both surprised to see her.

"Who is this," Tohru asked. He hadn't joined their side until a week after her first visit, so he had never seen her before.

"It's Lilly, right" Jade asked.

"Yes."

"She found Jackie and Hak Foo," Unce stated.

"She did," Jade and Tohru asked in unison. Uncle nodded. Uncle placed them down on the table next to the magic book, then immediately put a glass over Hak Foo, not realizing his legs were broken and he couldn't escape.

"Now for the counter spell."

"Wait," Lilly said. They all turned to her expecting her to ask what they meant by spell. Instead she asked, "Will it restore them both to their original size?"

" Yes."

She lifted the glass and flicked Hak Foo on the head, knocking him out, since she didn't realize either that she had broken his legs. She didn't think she had stepped on his legs that hard. "Okay, you can do the spell now." They all stared at her. "What? He's bad right?" They all nodded. " Well we don't want him to escape when he's back to t normal."

They all looked at each other. "She isn't wrong," Jade said. And with that Uncle recited the counter spell, returning them both to normal. Hak Foo was still unconscious and Jackie hopped down from the table.

"Thank you," he said to both Lilly and Uncle. Lilly smiled, but Uncle hit Jackie on the head with two fingers. "Ow! What was that for?"

"For stepping in the way of Jade's spell." Lilly gave a little laugh.

"So I know I said I wouldn't ask, but what happened?" Everyone turned to Jade.

She laughed nervously "well, you see, I was trying to transport Hak Foo, that's the red haired guy, somewhere else. But it turns out the pages were stuck together and I cast a shrinking spell instead." Lilly cocked an eyebrow "What it could have happened to anyone!"

"Oh, it's not that. It's just that you must not have been studying magic very long if you could tell the difference between a transportation spell and a shrinking spell."

Uncle's pride was a little hurt. Even he hadn't noticed the difference right away and he had studied magic for years! "Jade is not learning magic. She is not even supposed to touch my magic books."

"Then why didn't you hit her instead of Jackie?"

"I would never hit a child. Besides. Jackie should have watched where he was going. And how would you know the difference."

Lilly was trying not to laugh. That was a silly reason to hit someone. "I've studied magic my whole life. My mother was a sorceress." Uncle was impressed. It was not often he met someone else good who used magic. Normally it was dark forces. "Anyways," she said changing the topic, "Jackie, I know I wasn't supposed to come until tomorrow, but I decided to drop by early. You said had some questions for me. I'm assuming it's about my pendant."

"Oh, yes. Why don't we go in the other room to talk," and the walked back into the other room.

Jade looked to Tohru."Should we listen in?"

"That would be wrong."

"Lame."

Tohru didn't want to disappoint her. " All right, but they can't see us."

"All right!" And with that they went to spy on the couple.
