Chapter 15

Five years old
Joining ceremony
Cody's POV
Leon finished his mating heat yesterday but what good times we had, but I'm still kinda sad we missed the pups birthday. I was told they all had a great time the twins just turned five whilst the triplets were already five but they had a blast. "Alpha Cody it's time for the joining ceremony for our new members," said Ronnie in a neutral tone. "I will be out in just a minute," I said through the door of my office and tidied away the paper all over the floor then exited my office. "Shall we go then?" I asked Ronnie who nodded his head and we started down the stairs together. Once we had gotten outside where the stage was set up, we walked over to the stage. Once everyone was in their places I made sure there were no arguments and started to prepare for my speech as Leon and Chase were before me.

Once Leon and Chase had sat down I got up and walked over to the podium to deliver my speech. "As you all know we have just recently fought a war and won. Which shows all the other packs out there how strong we are but it also makes us a target for those who seek the power our pack has over others. In our pack, we accept everyone wolf or dragon as well as any other species. Rejection and Abuse will also not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly so abide by these rules and we won't have a problem. So with that I welcome you all to the pack and our family but remember your rank and place within the pack" I said concluding the ceremony as myself and Chase extended the pack mind link to our new members. We now had an even bigger pack which I had a feeling was just going to get bigger.

1 month later
I awoke with someone dry heaving in the bathroom so I shot up and raced in to see Leon emptying his stomach in the toilet while Chase was rubbing up and down his back soothingly. 'Something's wrong with mate' Strike whimpered in my head as I went to rub Leon's back as well. Once Leon had stopped throwing up we decided to take him to the pack doctor to diagnose what was wrong with him. We went to the pack doctor as soon as we were dressed and left all ten pups and their own with Amy and Coral who have become best friends. Once at the hospital, they took Leon into a room to run some tests and we were told to wait outside.

"What do you think is wrong with Leon, "Chase asked ten minutes after Leon was carted away. " I honestly don't know I just hope that he's okay" I replied just as a nurse came out and motioned for us to follow her. Once inside the room my heart skipped a beat Leon was attached to ultrasound and there were several heartbeats coming from the machine. "So nurse what's going on," I asked not taking my eyes of my mate. "Well Dragons who are in a male, male relationship go in their mating heat a few years after meeting their mate and will develop the organ in males which carries kids," said the nurse and I'm pretty sure all our mouths were open while staring at her. "So when will we be able to find out the genders," Chase asked. "In about another few weeks as they are due two months from now and there is a high possibility of them being dragon shifters," said the nurse who then released and told not to do anything strenuous.

Once we got to the main house where the pups were all ten raced to us and fired questions from all sides asking if father was alright. "Yes pups I'm fine, but I have news," Leon said. "What news," asked Rex. "Your all going to be big brothers and sisters," said Chase. And they all squealed excitedly. "Hey, how about we go on a family-run," said Leon and the pups squealed even more as we headed outside. Once outside we shifted into our animal forms and the pups looked up at Leon but he wouldn't shift but would run and the pups started to race and play with us right behind them just watching until we came across a waterfall. It was magnificent so I trotted over to the pups and started playing, Rex and Max where pure black wolves while Xavier and Lucian were black wolves as well but had gold and sliver dragon extremities. Iummy and Victoria are white wolves with gold and sliver dragon extremities. Michael and Miya are brown but Miya is a shade lighter. Rosa and Robin are both red wolves which indicate they will all be fierce but for now, are just pups.

2 months later
"Cody, chase help" Leon screamed and I took one whiff and sure enough his water just broke and rushed him down to the hospital with Chase not far behind. Once we got there we were directed to the birth room where Chase and I had given birth to the twins. Doctors Sims came in and started to look over Leon who was in clear pain. "Leon you need to shift the room is big enough," said Doctor Sims and Leon shifted without a second thought to his clothes as they ripped to shreds. "Okay Alpha Leon you need to start pushing they will be here soon," said doctor Sims. "They" chase chuckled nervously. "Yes at least three" she replied.

I mind linked Coral, May and Amy to gather the higher-ups including, Ronnie, Alex, Siena, Jolene and their mates as well as all the pups including Corals who were born a month ago. Leon went on pushing and soon cries filled the room as a hatchling appeared followed by two more then a wolf with wings and horns appeared. We finally had hatchlings which is what Leon was hoping for there were two dark coloured hatchlings who were males and the others where females. I have the okay for everyone to come in once the pups landed their eyes on their siblings there became a protectiveness in their eyes as they landed on the female pup.

"So do they have names," Jolene asked and Leon motion toward me to tell them and I nodded back at him. "The two males are called George and James Firestone. The female dragon shifter is called Isabel Firestone and the pup is called Blaze Firestone" I said proudly as our family seemed complete. "Hey Chase we don't need any more kids," I said and everyone nodded we had ten five-year-olds and now four newborns but I could tell the other higher ranks would be having more kids.
