Chapter 19

Seven years old
Chase's POV
Wow, Connor and Jupiter's visit was more eventful than anyone thought it would be but it made us all close so were all best friends. "Come in," I said as I heard someone knock on the door of our Alpha office. "Good morning Alpha Chase we have the Moon Festival today, do we not," said the female dragon shifter whose name I believe is Kelly. "That isn't today is it, Kelly," asked and I saw her smile as I had remembered her name. "I'm afraid it is Alpha everything is ready it just needs to be set up," she said with a small smile. "Thank you where is all the provisions and the equipment," I asked her running my fingers through my hair. "Everything is in storage cupboard three" she replied. "Right can you send, Jolene, Siana, Caroline, Tommy, Eddy and Felix to my office please I would like them to be the ones to set up the Moon Festival this year" I asked her to which she nodded before her eyes went glassy and soon after I caught the scents of the people I asked for.

"Come in," I said as I heard one of them knock on the door. "You wished to see us, Alpha Chase," said Caroline. "Yes you are all to be part of the party that sets up the Moon Festival, it is your job to set up everything with the help of others who you ask to help," I said. "As you wish Alpha it shall be done by five o'clock this afternoon," said Tommy. "You are all dismissed," I said and each one said Thank you Alpha as they left. The Moon Festival is a celebration of which the pack was formed it's a series of parties aimed to have something for all ages. "Hey Love," Leon said as he walked through the door with the quads. "Hey, Leon do you know what today is," I asked as I wanted to see if everyone knew but me. "Today is our very first Moon Festival why," he said. "I forgot and now I'm rushing around to get everything ready that's why" I fumed. "Oh," Leon said and chuckled to himself. "Why don't you take a minute to relax and don't work yourself up" Leon then said and put down the two quads he was carrying next to the other two standing next to him and hugged me from behind and I melted.

"Thank you I needed that," I said as I turned in Leon's arms and kissed him deeply before pulling away and going to sit back at my desk. "Your welcome love I need to leave the quads with you while we coach our seven-year-olds how to shift purposely," Leon said before leaving from the room while I watch the quads. "Hey pups what you been up to," I asked them and got squeals in response as they never often leave Leon's sight as he is overprotective of them. "Dada" squealed one of the pups and I almost broke into tears. "Cody, Leon one of the quads just said Dada," I said through the mating link and my twin link. Not moments later both Leon and Cody broke through the door of the office and the quads reacted. "Dada, Daddy, Papa," said the quads in unison and pointing between the three of us and then clapping their hands. We praised our youngest pups and started filing through the paperwork.

Time skip at 5 o'clock
"Alpha Chase the festival has been set up," Felix said through the pack link and as I was playing with our old pups. "Okay thank you" I replied. "All wolves and dragons report outside to the front garden for the beginning of the Moon Festival" I said through the pack link and led my family outside where I looked out toward the decorations and tables and it was all set out beautifully and are exactly to plan the dark design and crescent moons and full moons and food on the tables that looked like a set was for small children, the next for teenagers and the last for adults.

It was beautiful it was all perfect and with such little time, I am impressed with what was able to be done. "Earth to Chase you seem to be out of it," Cody said whilst snapping his fingers around my face and smiling while our pups giggled. "Yeah, I am I was taking in the beauty of the festivities" I replied whilst rubbing my neck. "We'll come on we got to go give a speech about why we decided to do this" Leon said leading the way to the stage in the corner of the garden where everyone was facing that stage. When we got up on the stage myself, Cody and Leon discreetly played rock, paper, scissors and I lost which means I have to give the speech.

I then walked up to the podium and coughed and everyone turned to look at me and all talking stopped and I started to deliver my speech. "We the alpha family welcome you to our very first Moon Festival. We are here to celebrate each other as well as our pack and family as well as our future" I said loud and confidently to the pack dragons and wolves included. Once done I stepped down from the podium and Leon talked about how everything was going to run. The youngest will be allowed up until 7 pm and then will be sent to bed and the teenagers will stay up until 10:30 pm and then will be sent to bed and after that we will all shift and run around the territory before calling it an evening and the assigned people to clean though they are different to the those who set up.

Once the festivities began everyone was having a ball of a time and there are dancing and food and everyone is as whole as a family. But soon enough it was time for our run around the territory. Everyone shifted and we ran for hours feeling the dirt beneath our paws and the wind in our fur and the sound of dragon wings flapping above our heads as we made our rounds and then finally returned to the house and retired with some new memories.
