I plodded along the sidewalk in the hammering rain, not caring if cars slowed down to stare at me. My goal was to get away from the cemetery for at least another ten minutes. I didn't know what part of town I was in, or what time it was. It felt as if I had been waking and walking for days.
I stepped down on a cobble stone road, standing in the middle of an alleyway entrance. I looked down the dark tunnel. Nothing seemed to be down there. And I didn't mind in the slightest if someone tried killing me. At least I wouldn't have to suffer like this any longer. So I began to toddle down the alley.
Every inch was suffocated in darkness. A few lights from people's fires escape's was the only source of light. Strange noises scattered around me everywhere but it didn't put me on alert. The worst that it could be is a cat eating a mouse. I walked all the way along the alley until I came to a brick wall. Dead end. Damn it. I sighed in defeat knowing that I was going to head back to the cemetery.
I hauled myself around to then have what felt like two tonnes of weight push me back against the wall.
My small frame was lucky that I didn't break anything. I thudded against the hard brick. What the hell was that? My vision was fuzzy for a moment but then it fixed itself.
A man in torn clothes was charging towards me. He had a knife in his hand and a revinous look in his eyes. He was tall, big and dirty.
Before he came any closer he opened up his palm. Then a glowing ball of light was twirling in it.
Was I hallucinating? Has that guy got a glowing ball in his hands.
Before I decided whether I had gone completely insane or had wacked my head a little too hard the glowing ball came straight at me. I ducked out of instinct and it burst open a dumpster. Garbage and cardboard flew everywhere.
Then if I wasn't going mad enough two more men appeared out of nowhere. They too had glowing balls. Before they had the chance to throw them they both exploded into a million pieces. In the distance three women appeared. The man that thrown the first ball spun around. He didn't seem happy.
More balls came out of his hand and once dodging all of them; the three women threw a small bottle towards the man and he too burst in to flames. They walked to towards me in a hurry.
I felt my vision collapsing and my surrounding blurring into one. Then within seconds I was unconscious.

I woke up gasping for air. It felt like the oxygen was being sucked out of my lungs. My chest felt like it would cave in from the pressure pushing down on it. It hurt. Out of all the things that hadn't hurt over the past two weeks, this did.
I rested back and found myself lying down on a floral print sofa. This wasn't Ed's house. It was too big to be Ed's house. There was a table and doors leading everywhere.
Looking over my feet I saw a foyer with a grand wooden staircase. Then to my right there was a door that lead to a conservatory type room.
I sat up only to be nearly frightened to death by the rumble of loud voices. There was a mixture of men and women. Some were calm, others seemed pissed. I couldn't make out what they were saying. So, to my luck the roar came closer to me.
Then six people were coming out from behind the wall by the foyer. Three guys and three girls. Well only two of them looked like boys. The others were adults.
I sat there bewildered. They all stared at me. Some with a smile, some with pity and others with pure irritation. Now I knew how that guy felt.
"Great she's awake. Now can we get her out." One of the boys said angrily.
He had short brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a blue shirt and sweats. He wasn't overly gorgeous but he wasn't dead on ugly. He was cute. Some might say hot.
"No we can't! She was brought to me for a reason. Since nobody else was here to take of the demon we had to instead." A woman with light brow hair that flicked out at the ends said.
She wore bright red lipstick and had a 1940's facial features about her.
"You don't have charges anymore Paige. You don't fight demons, we are the ones who do that now." The other boy said in a calmer voice.
He had blonde hair and was really really tall. He seemed a little more reasonable than the other one.
"Well you didn't this time because me, Phoebe and your Mom had to take care of this one. Everyone else seems to have better things to do than protect people and luckily we got there on time otherwise this girl would've been dead." The same girl told the others.
I was guessing her name was Paige.
"Guys she is still awake mind." A different girl said. She had curly-ish dark brown hair that pulled up into a pony tail.
Once she said that they all noticed me sitting there. The one I was assuming that was called Paige came over and sat by me. She smiled comfortingly.
"Hello." She began with a smile. " I'm Paige, what's your name?"
I just looked at her. She was waiting for a reply.
"A-Anna." I croaked.
They all looked at me strangely. Just like the guy did when I answered him.
"Okay Anna, how are you feeling?" Paige asked.
This was the longest conversation I've had in two weeks. Actually it was the only conversation - where I've participated - that I've had in two weeks.
I didn't know how I felt. I was numb. So I said the only answer that came to mind.
"Heavy."
This time the strange look turned to worry and they looked at me as if I was a dirty lab rat. Paige turned towards the others with a furrowing brow.
"Right. Okay. Now Anna, do you remember anything from the alleyway?" She asked.
The alleyway. I was dragging my feet down there to get away from the cemetery for five minutes when I got thrown against the wall. Then those guys with the glowing balls showed up.
"I-I was walking, then I got pushed to a wall. T-Then these guys came with glowing balls in their hands." My raspy voice said.
All of them shifted. The boy with the green eyes that seemed irritated looked as if he was thinking. Like putting a puzzle together.
"These men, did they have anything else other than glowing balls?" Paige asked.
Is this twenty questions or what?
I remembered the first one had a knife in his hand.
"A-A knife." I managed to get out.
A man, not the blonde one or brown haired one came over to me. He smiled gently and put his hand on my leg. I just stared. As usual.
"Anna, do you have anything that's enchanted that the demons might want?" The curly pony tail woman asked.
Enchanted? Demon? I thought I was mad. My state became a gaze of confusion.
"A better question to ask is why didn't you use your powers to fight back?" A different woman asked.
She had long chocolate brown hair that fell all the way down her back. She had the same colour dark brown eyes.
I didn't know how to answer any of these questions.
Irritated Green Eyes huffed.
"Mom, Dad, Paige, Phoebe, Chris can I talk to you for a second please." The blonde guy said.
They all nodded and flooded out of the room. I sat there in confusion, wondering what the hell I had done wrong now.
