Why we've never seen a unicorn

Down on Earth, Lily, a daughter of Aphrodite, is caring for her horses because she, like Aphrodite, loves horses. She decides to go riding on her favorite horse, a silky white Andalusian horse with creamy golden hair named Sugar.

Lily loves riding through the meadow in the late afternoon because the sunset is beautiful and the wind blows through her hair and Sugar's mane. When Lily gets home, she is greeted by her friend Crystal , a daughter of Athena. They are both half-bloods, they met in half-blood preschool, and they have been best friends ever since.

"Ready for dinner?" Crystal asked.

Lily had forgotten they were supposed to have dinner together that night.

"Yeah, I just need to change out of my riding clothes."

After Lily changes, the two girls head down to Crystal's house for dinner, which is right down the street. The girls live in the country and they both have horses, but Crystal also has pet owls that she cares for.

"Have you seen your mom lately?" Crystal asks as they sit down to dinner.

"Yeah," Lily says "She came to my last horse show to support me, but she was disguised, so it took me almost the whole time to find out it was her. She definitely couldn't give herself away in front of all those people."

"Have you seen your mom lately?" Lily asks.

"No", Crystal responds "You know how she is, all about her space"

They finish dinner, Lily says bye to her friend, and then heads home to go to bed.
