Chapter 9

I sat in the nursery rocking back and forth in the rocking chair. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine life with a baby and Edith. I opened my eyes. In the corner of the room sat a 2 large package. The boxes contained the UppaBaby Mesa, and Vista. The UppaBaby Mesa, the car seat I had chosen for Jack. It had good safety review, stylish, and I liked the UppaBaby line of products. The UppaBaby Vista was a stroller. It came with 2 interchangeable options. The Bassinet or the toddler seat. Making the transition to a bigger stroller easier. It also had the ability to use the car seat as a seat. The bassinet option was tested and safe for the baby to sleep in. Making it easy to take with us, remove the bassinet and let Jack sleep in. We got matching Marine Blue in the Mesa and Vista. I liked more of a Navy, but I wanted the car seat to match, if we ever used it on the stroller. I made dinner reservations at a local high end restaurant for Edith's parents. I wanted to do something nice, since they had been so helpful. Alos, This have me and Edith plenty of time to put the stroller up, install the car seat in the car. Then, we could have some much needed mommy time. We hadn't had much time to spend, with Edith working, and I worked when I could. We also were busy with the nursery, doctor's apt., touring hospitals, then her parents came. It all seemed like a whirlwind. I left a note with the reservation info on John & susan's bedside tables. Edith would be home in 5 minutes. Let's just say I may have been able to escape long enough to pick-up something special for Edith & I.

Edith walked upstairs. She came in and sat on the bed. "I'm home alice." She called. I opened the bathroom door. I was wear black lacey lingerie. "I know." I said in a sexy voice. Edith stood and smiles. She began to undress. We were all over each other "Wait." she said between passionate kisses. "What about my" she continued trying to get words out between kisses "mmhh Parents?" she finished her sentence.. "I sent them to dinner, I imagine they wouldn't be around until the morning." I kissed her neck as she caressed my belly. "I love you, Edith" I whispered in her ear. She pulled me in close and said "Me too, but I hope you're ready for this." She pushed me on the bed. *Sorry, I must sensor again.*

I lay next to Edith. We both breathe heavily. "That was amazing." I say between breaths.

"Yes." She smiles as she tries to catch her breath.

"I wanted us to have some mommy time before Jack came. I imagine we will still have fun, but even while he's still in my belly, he has cause quite the disturbance to our mommy time."

"It's ok. Plus, it builds up the experience." She turned and smile at me "Round 2? We have all night!"

I smiled and nodded. I pulled the covers over our head, as I laughed in anticipation.
