Something Unexpected

Chapter 1 - Under the weather

This is more of an intro than an acutal chapter... 

She stepped off the train at Victoria station. It was packed as usual. She hadn’t been at work for the past 3 days, she still wasn’t feeling 100% but she didn’t want to let anyone down so she forced herself out of bed that morning.

Louise was worried, it wasn’t like Gina to take days off work, she almost never got sick, and when she did she would only ever take an evening off. It was 5:30 and Lou had just arrived at the theatre, much to her surprise Gina was waiting in her dressing room. Lou squealed, excited to see her friend, and ran to give her a hug. “Where have you been? Are you better now? It’s not like you to take sick days!” Lou was bombarding Gina with questions.

“I’m feeling much better now thanks.” Gina lied. “I don’t know what came over me. I just woke up a few days ago and felt really sick.”

“I’m glad you're back, it’s not the same when you’re not here!” Lou replied, relieved that her friend was back to her normal self.

“I should go and start to get ready” Gina said, not wanting to be asked any more questions. Gina walked into her dressing room and began to apply her make up.

 15 minutes later Gina heard a knock on her dressing room door. It was Lou telling her that she was going to the stage for the group warm up. Gina opened the door and walked with her friend down to the stage where the rest of the cast was waiting. Half way through the warm up Gina began to feel dizzy, it wasn’t the same as she had been feeling for the past 3 days, this was worse much, much worse. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her, and then she heard Lou scream before everything went black.
