Rachel’s POV

She sat down on Gina’s sofa. She picked her phone up off the table where she had put it down earlier. She had a new message from Lou. She unlocked her phone and read the message:

Rach, have you spoken to Gina? She rushed off earlier so I didn’t get the chance to speak to her. Let me know how she’s doing.

Lou xx

Rachel loved the fact that Lou cared so much. She would never understand why Gina felt she couldn’t talk to her. She composed a quick reply:

Lou, bless you you’re so sweet. I’m at her place now. Honestly she isn’t doing too well, she didn’t tell me anything. She just sat there and cried her eyes out. I wish you were here. She’s gone to sleep now, I wanted her to rest. I’ll try to keep you updated, but honestly I think you should try and talk to her again because I’m not sure how much I will be able to tell you.

Rxx

She texted Guy to tell him she wouldn’t back for the rest of the day and then turned her phone off to save the battery. She then lay down and pulled the blanket around her and tried to get some sleep.

*a few hours later*

Rachel woke to hear sobs and screams coming from the next room. She got up and immediately the chill of the room hit her. She walked to Gina’s room and opened the door. Her friend was tossing and screaming, she sounded as if she was in pain. She rushed over to wake her up from her nightmare.

“No! Don’t you dare!” Gina screamed

“Gina, calm down it’s just me.” Rachel tried to reason with a distraught Gina who was now pulling her hair whilst continuing to yell at her. It took a few minutes for her to calm Gina down. She sat on the edge of the bed and waited for Gina to go back to sleep.  Rachel looked at the clock on the wall. 5:47. Rachel settled on not going back to sleep and decided to go into the kitchen and prepare breakfast.
