Chapter 4.0 - The memory

*Ring Ring* *Ring Ring* “Hi Gina” Rachel said

“Rach, I know it’s late so if you don’t have time to talk…”

“Gina” Rach interrupted “Don’t be silly of course I have time to talk to you. “

“I know it’s a lot to ask but could you possibly drop by, this isn’t something I really want to talk about over the phone. Listen if you can’t then I understand… I know it’s late and you have things to do…” Gina rambled on

“G. Stop. I can drop by and talk to you, all you had to do was ask.”

“Thank you Rach.” Gina was so grateful that Rachel was coming over.

“I’m heading over now, I’ll see you in about 20 minutes” Rachel said, grabbing her bag and rushing out the door.

“Thank you. This means so much to me. I’ll see you soon” Gina said and then hung up.

 Gina went to her bedroom to get changed, her flat was so quiet, and she could hear the echo of her own footsteps. The only other sound was the growling of cars passing by, which she had grown accustomed to from living in London for so long. She went back and sat on her sofa. The room went silent and seemed to turn colder, this sent a shiver down her spine; she couldn’t tell if that was from the cold or from the darkness of the night. All of a sudden the memory she had tried so hard to block out for so long emerged into her mind. She remembered it like it was yesterday, the images played in her mind, clear as crystal. She couldn’t suppress the memory now that it had taken over...
