Chapter 12

Kylie POV

It's been about six weeks since Jared and I got engaged, and we hadn't told anyone. I never wore my ring to work, so no one knew. We were actually planning on telling everyone at Comic Con, which was fast approaching. We had just gotten back to filming, and Jensen was directing, and I couldn't have been more proud of him. He was brilliant and I was really excited to see how the episode would turn out. Right now we were on a plane to San Diego for Comic Con, and I was so excited. I knew for sure we were having our panel on Sunday mid morning, and I knew we were going to Nerd HQ in the afternoon that day, but I didn't know anything else.

We just landed in San Diego and we were being shipped off to the hotel. Jared and I had our hands intwined, and I was content. I was glad we had a back entrance, because I wasn't ready to be mobbed quite yet. We got into the room and Jared asked, "I was planning on going to the Nerd HQ party tonight. Wanna come?"

"I'd love to. Let me freshen up a little, and we can go."

He nodded and I grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans and a Captain America shirt. I ran a brush through my hair and threw on my new clothes, freshened my makeup and we were ready to go. Cliff wasn't there, but we had one security person with us. We made it to the museum fine, and when we got in, Jared immediately dragged me to the bar, and grabbed me a beer. I sipped from it as we mingled and I was pretty much in my own world until Jared tapped my shoulder. I looked over and he was pointing at someone. I couldn't tell who it was, but as we moved closer I freaked a little. Standing there was Aisha Tyler. She was an amazing woman and I was so excited. We walked up and Jared introduced us. She wrapped me in a hug and I knew I could die happy. We chatted for a bit until I saw a figure walking up and I froze.

Jared noticed, and he looked over and he chuckled. The figure came closer and closer and then said, "Hey! How you been?"

"I've been good man, have you met my girlfriend?" Jared replied.

"I don't think I have."

"Well, this is my girlfriend, Kylie Monroe."

"Hi Kylie, I'm Stephen."

"Uhhhhhhhh," I replied, like an idiot, "Hi."

He chuckled and said, "You seem a little shocked."

"I don't think a little covers it, but yes," I replied, still in a daze.

He laughed aloud that time, and Jared interrupted, saying, "We have a good idea for a picture. Hand over your room key, Amell."

He gave it to him without a word, grabbed me and Aisha already had someone ready with a camera. Jared told me to make a fangirl face, and so I did. Once the photo was taken, Jared tweeted the photo with the caption, "Oh my god we have his room key!!!!! @amellywood @aishatyler @KylieMonroe #ComicCon." I laughed out loud at Stephen's face and the party rocked on throughout the night.

I woke up the next morning and was immediately nervous. Jared and I were telling the fans about us today at the panel and we had a great plan. We convinced a close friend to make an appearance, and we were excited. Jared was awake shortly after I was and we were both excited. I ran into the bathroom before he could and I took a long, hot shower. When I was done, I dried off and changed into a black and white polka-dotted circle skirt, with a Hillywood Show tank. I loved their parody and I wanted to rep them. Once I was ready, Jared ran in to shower and get ready. When he was done, I wanted to take a quick walk on the floor, and see if I could find the Hillywood sisters.

I was walking the floor by myself when I saw the WB booth on the floor. I chuckled and walked over to see who was signing. I noticed it was Arrow, so I waved to Stephen and he waved back to me from the booth and I grinned. I kept exploring the building, until I finally found the booth I was looking for. The line was long, but it was 9:30 and I had time before the panel. I stood in line with everyone else and if anyone noticed me I would smile and whisper, "Don't tell the girls." They nodded and it was like that for a while. As I got closer, I kept my head down so they wouldn't notice. Finally I was one person away and after their photos were taken, I looked up and when they saw me, the look on their faces were enough. They were completely shocked.

"Hi, so I wanted to take a picture of us, because I find your parody to be insanely amazing. You mind?"

"Of course not! Thank you for your support!" Hilly said.

I stood between them and someone snapped our photo. I left the booth feeling satisfied, and I texted Jared to see where he was. He told me he was in the press room, so I knew where that was. I made my way there, and when I got in, I saw him from across the room. I walked over to the table he was sitting at, and placed a kiss on his cheek and allowed the interview to continue. Once that was done, we headed to Hall H to prep for the panel. When we made it to the backstage area I was shocked to find Rob and Rich standing there. I grinned when I realized how awesome mine and Jared's surprise was now going to be.

The woman on stage introduced Rob and Rich and the crowd went nuts. They introduced each of us, and we all laughed at their hilarious introductions. As the panel went on, they pulled out this stuffed hamster and I swear to god I had never seen Jensen, Jared, Misha, and Mark laugh so hard in my life. The best part was when Jared stepped on Mark's Funko head and Rich said, "You just got funked. You were just face funked." Gosh it killed me. But when we moved onto audience questions, I saw a sea of lights come up through the crowd. Everyone was looking at each other in confusion, until someone came up with two tea lights and slips of paper. When I saw the light and read the paper, I was completely blown away. Wow. Then all of a sudden, the lights blacked out, and I knew we were about to announce the biggest milestone in our relationship so far.

When the lights came back up, at the edge of the stage, stood Matt Cohen in his Michael garb. The crowd went bonkers, and he waited until they calmed down before asking, "So I have a question for Jared and Kylie. The two of you have been together for over a year now. What is happening?"

I chuckled and kissed Jared on the cheek and said, "Well, its funny you should ask. As of a few weeks ago we are..."

Then both of us held up our intwined hands and said, "Engaged!"

Everyone was shocked. Jensen, Misha, Mark, Jeremy, Andrew Dabb, Rob, and Rich were grinning at us and the fans were going nuts. Jared and I stood up and Jared pulled the ring box out of his pocket and placed it on my finger. He then dipped me down and placed his lips on mine. The room went away and it was just him and I. Sooner than I would have liked, he pulled away and the crowd came back to us. I leaned back down to the mic and grabbed Jared's hand, saying, "Also I wanted to add how special this fandom is to me. To this day I am thankful for you guys because you really saved me. I found this show as a young person and it brought me out of a hard time. Thank you so much for the lights. I know Jared started this campaign and he did it as much for him as he did it for me as a reminder. I know he didn't tell you, and I don't blame him. I didn't want him to, but when we first met, I had a horrific nightmare that he helped me through. The man standing next to me, who I am so lucky to be marrying, is something so special, and this whole family is one of the most incredible things I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. So basically, thanks, and I love you."
