Ben: Complications

I just still couldn't believe it, I was human again. When your a human you feel whole again and you just have so much more energy. It's really incredible compared to what I was used to. Once Allie's parents left, we had to figure out where I was going to stay. It would take a lot of convincing to be able to stay with Allie, but I had to. I have a duty to help Allie and I need to always be by her side. Allie and I both agreed to at least try to convince her parents to let me stay here.

Once we walked down the grand staircase, we found Allies parents talking in the kitchen.
"Excuse me, Mom, Dad. Ben and I want to ask you a serious question." She said in such a stern, but soft voice.

"No." Her mother replied. I could tell that she really didn't like me. This was going to be a lot harder than I intended.

"But you don't even know what we're going to ask."

"I don't care, the answer is no." Allie was starting to get frustrated. I could see the anger in her eyes, I could guess that isn't the first time that this has happened.

"Mother, Ben is not able to stay with his family for... Reasons. And being the good friend that I am, I offered him to stay with us. Of course I need your permission to do so. So can Ben please stay with us." Allie had acted so professional. Her parents were shocked and honestly so was I. Allie never came off as the "sophisticated" type.

"Are you sure that there's no one else that can take him in?" She whined. Yeah okay I get it, you don't like me. Allie and I slowly shook our heads. Allie's mom let out a big sigh.
"Fine he can stay in the guest house, but that's it. How long will you be staying with us?" I didn't really know. It could take years to find the right person for Allie.

"However long it takes me to find another place I can stay, I guess" I shrugged. She let out another big sigh. Her eyes were now glued to the screen of her phone. Allie took my hand and lead me to the guest house. It was about the same size as Allies room, but with a kitchen and bathroom.
"I'm so sorry about my mom, she can be really rude, stubborn, annoying, strict, cruel, should I go on?" I just chuckled.

"Nah, it's fine. Don't worry she'll learn to like me." She just returned a small smile and started starting at the dark oak wood floor.

"What are we going to do about school? You realize that your going to have to come with me, right?" I haven't really thought about that.

"It's ok, Greg has been tutoring me."

"Who's Gre-"

"That's not important, what's important now is that we find you a soulmate." I took her hands and held them in mine. She started to blush a little. "I'm here for you."
