luke: "get ready 'cause i'm facetiming you."
penny: "it's 8am"
luke: "get ready."
penny: "i'm ready."
it took luke just under a minute to facetime her and for her to answer. she had to admit that seeing his face did warm her heart a little. he looked tired, extremely tired but penny didn't feel one but sorry for him since it was probably his fault.
"calum told you i was partying right?" he shuffled the baseball cap around on his head before settling on the right position for it.
"yes." she simply said.
"it's true." he said and she nodded, already knowing it was. "i was clubbing because i didn't know what else to do."
"you could've text me." penny didn't have an expression and luke was trying to read her but she was just blank.
"penny, do i look like the kind of guy that knows how to have a fucking healthy relationship?" he let out a low laugh but penny didn't. she didn't want to joke, she wanted to know we're her relationship with luke was going. was it over or not?
"luke-"
"no, i'm sorry. i'm sorry i don't know how to treat my own girlfriend. i'm sorry i'm a jerk that took you on as a dare and fell for you. i'm sorry that i didn't tell you-" penny cut him off.
"luke. are we breaking up?" he shrugged, not sure how to answer. "because i don't want to."
"me either." he sighed as he lay down on the bed. "you know what? i'm going to make it up to you."
"how?"
"i'll bring you gifts." he simply said with a smile.
"i don't want-"
"they'll be special gifts, penelope. gifts that'll show i do care." she nodded and flashed him a smile.
"you look tired, you should sleep." penny broke the silence and luke nodded.
"goodnight, penny." luke blew her a quick kiss before ending the call.
