TRIGGER WARNING: VIOLENCE AND MENTION OF RAPE

The next couple of days had been filled with nothing but pain. He still mourned the loss of Mason because it was too hard for him to let go. Alex had already told himself a million times that he loved Mason. He kept telling himself that there would be another chance for them both. Of course it wasn't going to happen.

Alex didn't know that but it was just how things were. There wasn't going to be another chance for them both because Mason's father wouldn't allow it. Maybe it was the universe's way of saying that it wasn't meant to be or it wasn't going to work out at the moment. Probably it was the fact that Alex went on a date with Mason because he was feeling vulnerable. Their entire relationship would be a lie if it started from vulnerability. Suddenly Alex saw why their relationship had fallen apart.

Some things aren't meant to be and that's why they're sometimes meant to fall apart. Even though things fall apart, there's always going to be something better slowly building up in your life. So if you're ever crying about a breakup, just remember that the universe has something better planned for you. Alex had heard this before but it hard for him to understand it. Now that he was in a similar situation, it became clear to him that this wasn't the end of his happiness. He now knew that there was something else waiting for him.

Alex had various encounters with guys, one that stood out to him was David. David was a boy who always bullied Alex in elementary school. This had went on for 3 years. It started in 2nd grade when they were assigned to be partners. Alex didn't know the boy which caused him to freak out. Instead he tried being polite to him but apparently kindness wasn't always welcomed.

"Hi, my name is Alex." Alex told David.

David turned his head to face Alex for the first time, he looked annoyed and disgusted. Alex had no idea what was David's problem; they barely met for the first time.

"What do you want?" David said in an annoyed tone.

"I just said, hi." Alex said.

"Are you mocking me?" David asked.

"No." Alex simply replied.

"Then what do you want?" David asked again.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know each other." Alex replied.

"I don't wanna know you. I don't need to know you. We're just partners and nothing more." David said.

"Okay." Alex said.

"By the way, you'll be doing all the work." David then said.

"What? We're partners. We're supposed to do things together." Alex replied.

"I don't wanna do things with you." David said.

Alex was confused, this boy had no idea what he was talking about. He was being rude and Alex didn't like that. His mom always told him to be polite no matter what but he couldn't let David get away with this.

"Well you're gonna have to!" Alex then screamed.

"What?" David asked.

"That's right. You heard me. We're going to work together. I'm gonna help you whether you like it or not." Alex said.

"I'm not listening to you. You're not my mom." David said.

"Yes, you are gonna listen to me." Alex said.

"No, I'm not." David said.

"I'm not gonna have this argument with you because it will be boring." Alex said.
