taming the demon in me

Zeke takes off after me never missing a beat as I swerve, jump, and doge the forest around me. I'm mid jump between two branches, when I feel Zeke's hand wrap around my ankle pulling me down. As we're falling Zeke grabs onto me and pulls me on top of him, and when we land Zeke breaks my fall with a loud thud. After we land, before I know it Zeke has me pinned down by my wrists. I look up at Zeke to see him smiling down at me showing off his long fangs.

"I think I caught you." Zeke whispers nipping at my neck.

I move my head to nip back at his neck, but Zeke moves back quickly and bites down on my neck. I let out I yelp in pain as I feel his fangs pinch my neck . I was about to attempt to bite Zeke again when i noticed someone aiming at him from a tree behind him. Quickly i pulled Zeke down as something went whizzing past his head just missing him. Zeke looks over to where the object came from, and quickly takes off over to the tree. I go over see what had almost shot Zeke, and see that it was an arrow. I pick it up and inspect it, and notice that it's a hunters arrow. I look more closely at it and see the silver writing of the hunter's oath. I then start to examine it when i notice that it has a sharp scent. Pulling it away from my face i realize that it was poison lacing the tip of the arrow. I drop the arrow and take off to where I had seen the hunter in the tree.

I stop in my tracks when I see who Zeke has pinned agenst a tree. Connor, one of my ex's, had Zeke against a tree holding a blade to his throat. As silently as I could I dashed up behind Connor, and grabbed for his wrist pulling him away from Zeke's neck. Connor quickly turns to me and his fist collide with my jaw. For a second I almost lose my footing, but quickly regain my footing. Connor then rips his arm out of my hand, and swings at my arm with it. I feel a sharp stinging sensation that quickly becomes a painful burning feeling. I hiss at the pain, and feel my fangs slide out. Glancing back up, I see Zeke leaping at Connor. I snatch the blade out of his hand while Zeke's holding him down, and look closely at the blade.

"I dipped it in holly water, nice way of seeing you after all this time. Honestly you go off on personal training I hear nothing about you for a year, then it gets announced that you've been exiled, and finally I go out on a patrol and see some demon scum trying to make you his next meal. What happened while you where gone?" Connor questions sounding a bit hurt.

"Oh now you feel that you have the right to care? No you don't! Don't you dare think that you can just stroll in help me, and fix the issues between us that may I remind you, had been caused by you. It was your decision to go and betray me when you where one of the few people I put my trust in." Dally lets out seething after taking over.

"I was in the wrong I get that, and I was naïve to think that some easy score could be as good as you, bu-" Connor gets cut off.

"You did what to Sophia and expect  her to take you back or forgive you?" Zeke yells letting out a growl towards Connor, "And to think that you where calling me scum. I don't know the whole story or who exactly you are, but your so lucky were not in hell or I would have you so dead right now." Zeke growls into Connor's ear, eyes narrow and glowing a dark purple.

" Zeke relax I would never think about forgiving him, besides he wouldn't want me back now anyways." I say lowering my glasses enough for Connor to see my eyes.
