Pointless Time
I was the first to wake up. No surprise there. It was funny to see Dahlia drool and have her mouth wide open. I wish she was awake so I could comment on how she must get a lot of dick. I wish any one was awake because I was extremely bored. I climbed out of the tent and looked trough the bag with our food and found a box of cereal. I didn't trust our milk, so i just ate the fruit loops with my hands like an animal. I sat down on a rock and just admired the beautiful scenery around me. After a while it began hard to be comfortable because is was freezing balls. I stopped shivering when some one put their jacket over my shoulders. I turned my head to see who it was and I saw Sean smiling down at me. I smiled back and he sat down next to me.
"How long have you been awake?" I asked.
"Since you've been up. The zipper of the tent woke me up." He said as he shoved his hand into the box of fruit loops. I just nodded as to say I understood what he was saying, just without using words. "When do you think the others will wake up?" he asked.
"Well if their anything like my sister, they might not wake up at all." I said. He chuckled, and hearing him laugh made me laugh, and then he laughed harder, and I did they same. It was the weirdest thing we were laughing at literately nothing but I couldn't stop. "What. Are. We. Doing?" I asked between giggles. Soon we stopped and it got awkward. He broke the silence when he said, "Lets go for a walk."
"Where?" I asked. "Anywhere," He responded. I shrugged my shoulders and got up. We wondered into the forest. It got quite again so I decided to tell the only stupid joke I know. "Wanna hear a funny pizza joke?"
"Sure," he said not looking away from the ground.
"Nah, it's too cheesy." I said waiting for a laugh, or a 'I get it', but no he just said, "It can't be too bad just go for it."
"No, Sean that was the joke. Pizza, cheesy..."
"Oh, well now I just feel stupid. That was a good one."
As we where walking I stepped on something and heard a creepy ass child laugh. In fear Sean and I froze. We slowly turned around and saw a dirty, broken baby doll.
"It looks like Annabelle and a cabbage patch kid had a one night stand and that was the unfortunate off spring," said Sean.
I smiled like Satan because I had an idea. "Wanna put in the tent," I whispered.
"Omg yes," Sean replied and then said, "but I'm not touching that thing."
"Oh come on be a man," I said punching his shoulder.
"Ok, first of all that hurt and second I don't feel like getting posed."
"Like I want to get possessed? Come on don't. Be. A. Pussy" He rolled his eyes at that comment and then took off his hoodie, and wrapped it around the doll. We carried it back to camp. The walk back felt a lot shorter than the walk there. We slowly unzipped the tent and placed the foot of the doll in Delilah's mouth. We backed out slowly and closed the tent again.
"What do you want to do now," I asked. Sean shrugged his shoulders and we stood there for a while. Sean broke the silence when he said "I know lets tell more stupid jokes."
"Ok, I got one. So there was this Hispanic magician and he goes up to s kid and says 'want to see a magic trick?' The kid agreed and the magician said 'uno, dose, and then he disappeared without a trace."
He laughed and said, "that was good but I've got a better one."
"Oh yeah, what is it?"
"What kind of bagel can fly? A plain bagel."
I stared at him for a minute and than I started laughing really hard. Our laughter was interrupted by a scream. Delilah comes running out of the tent yelling "SATAN, HELP, DEMON BABY"Every one looked at her and than Sean and I fell to the ground laughing. In-between giggles I said, "who's the toddler now!"
"ITS NOT FUNNY I COULD HAVE DIED!"
"It's pretty funny" Mathew said.

"I feel like I should miss something but I don't really," my sister said. She looked pretty when she was sad, and it's not like she isn't pretty all the time. My sister is probably the prettiest person I've ever met. She just had this warm glow about her and people smiled every time they saw her. Not to mention the way Matt looks at her, I wish some one would look at me that way.
"I miss the football team, like John and Andrew. But than I think why I'm not good enough to get a scholarship." Mathew paused and then said, "what about you Sean don't you miss all your brothers and sisters."
Sean got quite and than looked down. I was surprised. Why wasn't he saying anything. He looked up and his eyes met mine and than he said, " ok look I now it sounds terrible that I don't miss my family, but it's just so stressful. Do you have any idea what it's like to have a mother who can't remember your own name or have a dad that is disappointed in you because you can't live up to the expectations of your 4 older siblings? Or have to come home and take care of a 10 year old, a six year old, and a pregnant woman and also get your home work done."
We were all quite. The fire was bright and the crackling wood filed the silence. It wasn't long before everyone went back into the camp, and it was just me and Sean. He was on the other side of the fire he looked upset so I spoke up, "I can relate to what you said."
"What?"
"About not missing your family. I don't miss my parents, and why would I they treat me like I don't exist anyway. It's always about Veronica."
"I know exactly what you mean. My dad is always saying why can't you be good at sports like Michael, or why can't you be smart like Sophie and Angle. God what are the odds that my twin sister both got into MIT. But let's not mention my mothers most prized possession, my oldest brother Jeremiah." At this point it sounded like Sean was about cry.
"Do ever feel like there is nothing you are good at, like your going to be stuck in a dead. Like your going to marry someone you like but don't love and have two kids that hate you because your not interesting."
"Damn Haily that's dark." Sean said. I felt embarrassed because I thought we were on the same page when we clearly were not. It was quite and than Sean spoke up again and said, "but yeah, I do feel like that. I feel like that every day. That's why I wanted to run away with you guys so bad, I thought it could give me a purpose."
We talked for a while and he came over to sit next to me. He sat behind me and put a large blanket over the both of us. We sat there in silence and just watched the fire.
