Sam's POV---

So I decided not to worry about all of my possible problems until the three days went by and I actually had to deal with them. I work better under pressure...or, that's what I tell myself anyways. Brian and I spent the next three days seeing as much of each other as we could. His dad ended up being fine and he returned to work which meant I had to occupy my time during the days as well. Evenings on the other hand were a different story. The first two nights Brian and I just sorta hung out and one of the nights I fell asleep at his place, but the third night things got a little interesting and I woke up in Brian's bed with him and a bong beside me. I was surprised to see the thing the night before, but not surprised enough to pretend like I didn't want any when Brian started huffing. We started giggling and rolling around on the floor and then, next thing you know, bam, Brian's bed and no clothes.

I woke to the sound of his phone and immediately covered my ears with the pillow mumbling his name so he would answer. "Hello?" Brian said in a groggy morning voice. When he hung up I threw my arm over his bare chest and began to pout, "do you haveee to go to work" I asked as I puffed my lips out. Brian smirked a bit, kissed me on the forehead, and said "unfortunately, yes. But at least Mike and Ike have the decency to call instead of barging in on me now." Brian rolled my arm off of him and began putting on his boxers. I kneeled on the end of the bed tossing my arms around his neck and kissing his cheek, "dinner?" Brian smiled, pulled on the rest of his clothes, turned to grab me by the hips and said "of course." A few hours later he was out the door on his way to work and I was headed home for a shower.

Brian's POV---

"You look awfully happy this morning" Rebecca said as I whistled my way through the cubicles to my desk. "Yeah, well, what can I say, I had a good night." I tossed my bag over my chair as Mike and Ike handed me my NZT and Rebecca handed me a case file. "Study up," she said, "We're looking for patterns and codes in all of this and you can do it faster than anyone so hop on it." She eyed me up and down quickly as if looking for a sign as to why I was suddenly so cheerful and, now that I was able to identify this, I toned myself down just a bit. "What?" I asked to which Rebecca snapped out of her zoned out gaze and responded "nothing, just making sure everything's ok." It wasn't a question, but at the same time it wasn't quite a statement. Rebecca left the room shortly after that and I began to sift through the paperwork. A few hours later, my phone started ringing. "Heyyou" I said into the phone after I saw that it was Sam. "Hey, just calling to check in on you" she said. "Listen, Brian...I hate to cancel on you, but I don't know that I can make it for dinner tonight. My roommate is coming home today from a..vacation, and I promised her I'd be home." She sounded as if she wanted to say more but I quickly broke in, "Hey, don't worry about it ok? It looks like it might be a pretty busy day at the office anyways. Have fun with her, maybe go out for a bit, I'll be around tomorrow too yknow?" Sam giggled a little bit and then said slowly, "well, if it's alright with you, I was thinking I could maybe sneak out later tonight when she's with all of our friends and maybe stay the night again..." She had this way of letting her words hang in the air with this thickness that was untouchable and I simply smiled and said "I don't think the office is busy enough to keep me from that offer." With that I hung up the phone and continued my days work, the thought of Sam constantly on my mind.

Sam's POV---

I quickly tidied up my apartment after hanging up with Brian and shortly after I heard a key in the door. "Honey I'm home" Parker said cheerfully as she opened the door and I rushed to greet her. "Hey!" I said, "I missed you so much!" We hugged and laughed and exchanged stories for a bit until the unavoidable became just that, unavoidable. "So," Parker began, "we need to talk about this job..." We both sat down at the kitchen table despite the fact that we didn't feel like sitting and before more could be said I jumped in. "Listen, Parker...I've been thinking and I don't wanna hear the details from you. Actually, I don't wanna hear them from anyone just yet. I've started figuring things out yknow and maybe you were right before, maybe I should think about things more before I just get back into the game." Parker smiled slightly and said "I don't know what's gotten into you, but I think this is for the best and if you really decide you wanna get in on the job, I'll support you. I'm glad you're thinking things through." She stood up, walked over to the side of the table I was at, and wrapped her arms around my neck. A little while later we had dinner and then she went to work...

Brian's POV---

I got home late. Around 11 actually and when I did finally get home, I called her. Sam showed up in a half hour and before we could sit down she got a phone call. "Hey Parker" she said into the phone. "No, don't worry about it, I'm actually out right now so if you're gonna be late it's no biggie..........Yes, I'm sure.......Well I'm thinking of staying out all night anyways so don't rush home on my account ok?......Nowhere, just a friend's.......I'm positive!.....Ok, great, see you tomorrow, bye." Sam sighed as I laughed and handed her a glass of wine. We sat beside each other on the couch as I asked, "roommate?" She took a sip of her wine and nodded, "she's a bit paranoid" she giggled. It wasn't long after that that our lips began to move closer and closer to each other until finally, we were kissing. I began to move my hand down her chest and tug at her shirt as she tugged at mine. Needless to say things moved fast and before we could move to the bedroom I was on top of her not thinking about anything but the way her skin felt on mine. We went at it for quite some time both falling asleep on the couch listening to the heavy breathing of the other.
