The day of my grandmother's funeral has already passed.

Another day goes by as if her disappearance from this world never happened and another day goes by with me going through the same routine. Routine. I never liked going through such a thing. When I was young, I used to always expect things to go my way. I always thought that certain things were going to turn out a certain way because I thought I was that important. But growing up, I now know that is not how life works, so I learned to accept things for the way they are so I won't let myself down when things don't go my way. It's funny because when one least expects something to happen, it will happen. These unnecessary thoughts...I guess I'm just overthinking to pass the time. Probably to procrastinate from my work for a bit.

"You want to start a band..? Why all of a sudden? And why are you telling me this?"

"You're asking too many questions."

"I can't help it. I'm curious."

"I don't even know why I'm telling you these things myself. You are the first person to know too."

"I feel special."

Every midnight I meet up with the same guitarist that I bumped into not too long ago. I can't tell if we are friends or not, but it is nice to have company, especially when I don't have anywhere else to go. I don't want to deal with my parents back at home either, so I see him. It is nice how he doesn't seem to care. Maybe because I throw money at him from time to time for the performance he gives every night that I take the time to watch even if there is nobody around. All that we are doing right now is sitting on the edge of the concrete under a royal blue sky, watching the few cars that pass by us.

"What?"

He is now staring at me, reading me like a book.

"You think I sound dumb."

"I didn't even say anything!"

"You don't need to. Forget it. It was just a thought anyways.."

"The way you said it just now didn't seem like 'just a thought' though."

Toru looks like he doesn't want to respond back.

"I know this will sound really really reeallyyyy cliché, but whatever you do, give it your all! Because when you do, you won't find yourself having any regrets and even if things don't work out the way you expect them to, at least you did the best you could. Hey, if you do create a band, you have my support all the way! I guess you can say..I would be your first fan hehe," I sheepishly say with a grin as I nudge him with a bent elbow while saying my last words.

With what I just said and did, Toru is now giving me an uncomfortable look. I usually call it his "wtf face".

"...Ayy, I'm serious!!!" I shout before pouting and hitting him on the arm this time.

"Okay, okay! You're only this size and you're this strong," Toru finally speaks but whispers his last words to himself.

Since I clearly heard what he said, I end up hitting him again.

"Ow..!"

And before we know it, another hour passes, which means it's time for me to go. I can care less about getting in trouble by my parents again, but I was getting tired.

.
.

"Hey, you're sleeping again?!"

"What..?"
