ok so i think the fact that people have different music tastes is weird?? like, think about it, a group of people appeal to a certain genre of music and a different group of people appeal to a different genre of music ?? does something make their brain just go: "wowie this is some good shit" when listening to a certain type of music ?? i want to knOW
update: i now know everything there is to know about anything, turns out there's a little itty bitty compartment in the brain called the "auditory cortex" which stores every single sound you've every heard in your life (that's a long time). of course, no one auditory cortex is alike, since it's basically only unique to you.
since the auditory cortex communicates with the "accumbens nucleus" (the part of the brain that shows signs of pleasure), some nerds did experiments and noticed that when new music comes in contact with your auditory cortex, your accumbens nucleus will react after the song has been filtered through the auditory cortex. this is why people like different music. ISNT THAT COOL??
