Chapter 4: Apologies

[A/N]: I am so sorry for not posting this yesterday and the day before yesterday!!!, The lag came and I couldn't publish then as I was refreshing and then as I was about to publish. My laziness took over me and I fell asleep.

{{King's P.O.V}}
I stretched my arms out after waking up from a really sad dream. "Wow, I woke up early" I thought as I look around not seeming to hear any voices, I then gave out a small yawn and found a half-drunk Ban on the floor and an empty bottle of what seemed to be ale "Good Morning, King" Helbram's voice greeted, I ignored him and opened a window and flew out of the bar.

{{Reader's P.O.V}}
"I'm sorry about King, {Name}" Helbram apologized as he looked at me with regret in his eyes "It's okay, Helbram" I said as I acceptd his apology, I then turn away to face the mirror that displayed King near a lake and he looked like he was crying. "I'll go back now" Helbram said as he flew towards the mirror "Wait!" I shouted at him, He sighed "You can't leave the Capital of the Dead, {Name}, remember?" He said looking at me "I know....just say hello to King for me, will you?" I said as I gave him a little smile "Of course" He said as he flew into the mirror making him teleport to where King is. "Please protect him, Helbram, for me" I said as I touched the mirror already knowing I can't go even though I'm lying.
"I'll watch over you, King"

{{King's P.O.V}}
I buried myself into Chastiefol trying to stop tears from flowing out from the memories that keep flashing throughout my mind suddenly
"I'll watch over you, King" A voice said "{Name}?" I asked looking up as I felt a small breeze of wind flew through me "She wanted me to give you a message but it seems you're dazing out, Harlequin" Helbram's voice followed as I put on my hood which contained his helmet "Helbram!" I yelled at his confused face "What?" He replied "Did you hear that?" I questioned him "Nope" He said "Wait what? Say that again Helbram" I said "Ummmm...Nope?" He replied "No! The one before that!" I said again "Oh!" He said as it looks like he remembered "She wanted to say hello to you" He continued, I smiled, getting teary-eyed "Can you please tell her I said sorry?" I questioned "No" He answered "Why?" I asked "She's watching over you King, that means she's hearing every word you say and seeing everything you do" He replied [A/N]: not in a bad way, s-s-shut up dirty-minded readers], suddenly "King! It's time to go!!" I hear Captain's voice yell "I gotta go Helbram" I said as I removed the helmet and flew towards the bar.
"I love you {Name}" I said as I let a small smile form on my face.

{{Meliodas' P.O.V}}
[A/N]: this is what happened in the bar, when King flew out to the lake then everyone woke up, by the way everyone is in the main floor where the table thingy's are and where Meliodas' ale is lol, and btw I'll make Diane small for now it means she'll be normal human sized.
"Hey Gowther!" I yelled, smiling at his expressionless and non-startled face "What is it?" He asked with, of course, no emotion "You should apologize to King y'know" I said "How?" He asked as he tilted his head "The girl you talked about last night" I said "She Died" I continued as everyone looked at me with shocked and confused expressions "How'd you know her Cap'n?" Ban asked "We were the best of friends" I said while remembering the times we played in a secret part of the Fairy King's forest that only she knew, I then walk towards the front door and I went outside to find King, knowing that he was gone.

[A/N]: when King was found by Meliodas and then they went back to the tavern/bar and continued travelling

I took a little stroll throughout the Capital of the Dead while trying to remember the moments I had with him "Hello {Name}" I heard a serious voice say "Oh hello Elaine" I said, seriously, as I turned around and faced her, we both then smiled at our silliness of being serious even though it was just us, "Seriously though, I want to know why you'd want to find me" I asked while still giggling "When are you coming back" She asked while a smile full of sorrow and regret plastered onto her face "I'm still thinking about it though.." I said "It's okay {Name}" She said while ruffling my {Color} hair, I then fix it "You and I both know you can leave the Capital, it's okay that you've been lying to Helbram, and I know it was for a good reason" She said "Don't worry about it, I'll take your place, I'll watch over the mirror" She continued while smiling with sorrow "Thank you Elaine" I said as I hugged her and flew towards an empty place to use my magic
"I'm coming, Harlequin"
