Chapter 10. Goodbye

{{Reader's P.O.V}}
"Kya!~ We can finally hug {Name}!" Diane yells and Elizabeth smiles, Hawk was preparing to literally hug me, they ran towards me and tackled me into a tight hug "C-Can't b-b-breathe guys.." I said "Oh sorry!" The trio apologized but I reassured them it was fine to hug as long as they don't squeeze the life out of me, "Let's celebrate!" Meliodas yells as he raises his bottle of ale/booze, everybody joined in and we all started the celebration.

"Cap'n!!" Ban yelled wanting more ale, Gowther was just...staring? At the food, Meliodas was pouring some ale, Hawk was eating some leftovers, Diane, Elizabeth and I were just having a little conversation about what our best memories were, meanwhile King was literally drunk. King swayed towards me with an empty bottle of ale while his face was completly red he looked like he was about to pass from being drunk "Yas! Another celebration!" Helbram's voice came out of nowhere "And where were you?" I asked as I turned around to face him with a curious expression, I suddenly hiccupped 'I knew I'd get drunk..' I thought while still looking at Helbram for an answer "I was with my own lover..." Helbram quietly muttered loud enough for me to hear "Oh, Okay~" I said as I realized what he meant, he then blushed and flew towards the drunk King who was on the ground "You okay there buddy?" Helbram asked the drunken King, King didn't reply but instead he just gave a thumbs-up, "Think you had too much, King" Meliodas pokes King's head dumbfounded. King stood up and groaned "Ughh..." King grumbled as he rubbed his temple.
I continued my conversation with Elizabeth because Diane fainted and is now asleep, Ban was sleeping as well, only King, Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, Helbram remained. "When will you be coming back Miss {Name}?" Elizabeth whispered not letting Meliodas and King hear, I let out a small sigh "I'll probably never come back.." I replied, a small yet sad smile appeared on Elizabeth's face "I understand..." She said while looking down "We'll cherish the memories that were spent with you, {Name}" She finished as she looked up back at me "You finally said my name with no formalities, I'm happy" I said as I gave her a small smile.
Thunk
I looked behind me and saw a fainted King [A/N]: don't worry he didn't hear your conversation with Elizabeth] "I'll take him back inside the tavern" I said "Everyone already fell asleep, I better go to bed as well, I'll help you carry him" She said as she walked towards the sleeping King "Thanks" " I said as I also walked towards King and we both carried him to his room, Elizabeth and I exchanged goodnight's, she already went to her room.
"Whoop! Thanks for carrying me" King flew up and grabbed my hand "You wanted me to carry you?" I asked King then blushed "Yes.." He flew me up to the roof of the tavern.

I felt my magic running out "I'm running out of time.." I mumbled, King then hugged me and whispered in my ear "I will wait, I will wait" He chanted in my ear, I hugged him back and (also) whispered in his ear.

"Don't.."

I could feel his eyes widen, he pulled away from the hug "One last time, please..." Kimg begged and I nodded in response, he placed his both of his hands on both of my cheeks "I love you" King mumbled as he pulled me in for a kiss whch I gladly accepted, I smiled in the kiss realizing he still tasted like strawberries, we pulled away and smiled at each other, I gave him a quick peck on the cheek "Goodnight..." I said, he suddenly fell asleep and his head landed on my shoulder "I love you too..." I whispered and carried him back inside to his room.
I placed him on Chastiefol and saw his adorable sleeping face, I softly giggled at the adorable sight. Tears then poured out of my {Color} eyes "I'm so sorry, King" I said inbetween sobs, my magic ran out and I returned back into being a ghost, I place a kiss on King's forehead.

"Goodbye, Harlequin..."

Extended Ending
[Morning]
"Where did you go, {Name}?" King asked as tears started to form in his eyes "She probably went..back.." Meliodas said as he patted King's back "S-She did.." Elizabeth stuttered. Everyone then looked at her "S-S-She told me last night..." She finished, everyone looked back at King "She never said goodbye.." King said inbetween sobs.
