Chapter 10

~Skyler~

Jasmine stayed over at my house for a sleep over, but some how neither of us managed to hear my alarm go off...

"Skyler wake up!" I jump awake as I hear my mom yell. I hear somebody stomping up the stairs and I quickly get up, shaking Jasmine awake on my way to the bathroom to pretend I was in the shower instead of sleeping.

I hear my door slam open right after I turned the shower on and stepped in. mom bangs on the bathroom door. "Get the hell out here Skyler, your already late for class, which started 30 minutes ago!"

I quickly get out and dry myself off, making it look like I just lost track of time in the shower... for the last 30 minutes I guess... I should have though this plan through more...

I walk out of the bathroom in a towel and see my mom there fuming. "Get your ass ready to go, if I ever get a call from your teacher again about you missing class, your grounded for a year!" I quickly get dressed and meet her by the car, skipping breakfast and she drives us to school.

After school was up mom had me sit down in the kitchen "Im sorry I yelled at you this morning, it wasn't right of me. but you must understand why I was so mad? I got a call from your teacher right after I clocked into work, I had to leave to go get you, making my boss rather angry with me. I probably lost my chance at that raise to come make sure you got to school..." she shakes her head clearing her thoughts.

"So that's why im going to say, no more sleep overs, no more parties, until after you have shown me that you have grown up enough to attend school at the correct time. You can forget about any school events that are planned because you arnt aloud to attend any of them." My head falls when I think about the dance that was coming up, I had planned to ask Lea to it, guess that's not going to happen now...

"But mom, what about the school dance, I was going to go with Lea..." she just shakes her head. "No buts, you and jasmine screwed yourselves over by missing your entire first class. As much as I like Lea its your fault you arnt aloud to go. Maybe next time there's a dance ill let you go." She dismisses me so I go up to my room and lay in my bed.

This time I woke up on time for class, im in my first class today, my teacher has been glaring at me the entire class, its making it hard to concentrate.

I manage to finish my test, even though I doubt I did any good since I missed yesterday's review, and turned it in.

After class I walk to my locker to see Lea there waiting for me, she meets me half way with a quick peck on the lips, wrapping her arms around my neck. "hey baby, how was your night, I didn't get a text good night like usual..." She pouts.

"Oh im sorry, it wasn't a good night, mom kind of put me on restrictions since I missed class yesterday, I can have sleep overs, parties, and I cant go to the school dance with you... im sorry." she sighs and kisses me again. "that's perfectly fine, I don't want to go to the dance anyway if you arnt aloud to go, it would be pointless, we can find some other thing to do on that night."

I smile and she pulls me around the corner for a little make out session before we go to our next class, getting there just as the bell is about to ring, the teacher gives us a knowing look before we sit down. Jasmine sits next to me and laughs, pointing at my neck. I pull out my phone and look through the camera to see a hickey on my neck.

I give a playful glare at Lea, no wonder the teacher seemed to know what we did. I pull up the collar of my shirt so it covers it.

After class ends I leave the room, a little angry at Lea for marking me in the middle of school. Im stopped in the hallway by little miss bitch, head cheerleader/ Fiona's best friend. "I guess since you couldn't get Fiona her sister is the second best thing, right." she says laughing. I fight the urge to turn around and punch her.
