"Albus?!" I hear a scream that wakes me up.
"Huh?" I say as I sit up. I notice Austin standing in front of my bed. "What's wrong?"
"You were just a snake..." Austin replies. "I swear you were just a snake!"
"Are you okay?" I ask him. "Don't worry, I thought I heard voices this afternoon, I guess I'm not the only one that's crazy."
"but..." Austin protests. "You were just a snake!"
"Let's just get ready and go to the dining hall, bet you're just hungry." I say as I yawn and change my clothes.
"You can go ahead, I think I'll just wait here and think about what I just saw." he says.
I walk through the doorway and notice Rose sitting down near the fireplace.
"Good morning Rose." I say. "How was yesterday with the Headmaster?"
"It was fine, he just asked for a favour." Rose replied. Ready to go eat breakfast?"
"Yeah, let's go!" I say as I open the door for her. "So, what did you guys talk about?"
"Oh, nothing much." she says as she tries to hide a grin. "Something about school."
"Alrighty then..." I say unsure if I should trust her or not.
As for usual, we ate breakfast, which was delicious. Fluffy pancakes with maple syrup and bacon on the side! What breakfast can top that? While we had breakfast, owls came into the dining hall, delivering their mail. I looked up at the roof, waiting patiently for Hedwig Jr. to arrive with a letter. After waiting for a few minutes, I finally realized that there was no letter. I guess dad only sends letters every once in awhile. After that, Rose and I made our way to our first class, transfiguration. We were already half-way to transfiguration class until Rose stopped in front of a room.
"Can you do me a favour Al?" she asks. "Can you go get my transfiguration textbook for me? I have to do the thing the headmaster asked me to do right now. Chantal should be in the common room, just ask her to get my transfiguration textbook You can meet me in this room later."
"Sure." I say as I run back. "I'll be back in a jiffy!"
I run back to the common room. In the corner I see Chantal near the fireplace.
"Hey Chantal!" I say. "Mind if you get Rose's textbook? She said she had to do something for the headmaster."
"Oh she's already doing it?" She ponders. "Oh right, let me get it for you."
I wait for her in the common room as she goes into the girls' dorm. Just as I thought everything would be fine, Derrick and Brodie pops out overhearing our conversation."
"Aww, lover boy's getting something for his girlfriend." Derrick says. "Are you guys going to be going on a date soon?"
"We're not dating!" I say. "Just stop!"
"You guys might as well be married." Brodie says. "When's your next honeymoon?"
"You know what, I've had enough!" I respond. "Just because a guy and a girl hang out a lot, doesn't mean we're dating! Saying that I'm dating Rose because I hang out with her a lot is like saying that you two are dating. How would you feel if I kept saying that you guys were dating each other?"
Brodie and Derrick looked at each other shocked. I guess they've finally noticed how serious I am. They quickly walk out of the dorm room. I don't think they'll be bullying anyone any time soon. Finally, Chantal comes back out of the girls' dorm room.
"Here it is." Chantal says. "Now hurry up and go to transfiguration. You wouldn't like Mrs.Masusi's punishment if you're late."
I thank Chantal and quickly run back to the room Rose was in. I was right in front of the door until I heard a lot of voices.
"Get ready he's coming soon."
"Stop pushing!"
"Guys focus! We're trying to capture this girl!"
Capture? A girl? There was only one logical explanation. I quickly opened the door and was shocked at what I had seen.
